Live experience at the BLS Toronto. People are here since 10pm. I reached at 5am this morning and am 28th in line. The list is growing and has 37 people now. Not sure if I will be able to make it.

I think No but you could have an idea from Acknowledgment date. I am about to submit my application on 19th Oct and my flight is booked on 5th, I am not postponing at the moment.

Sent by Canada Post on 26 Sep, delivered on 28th. Had to call multiple times for them to open the envelope. No updates yet on OCI tracking website, these are details on BLS website

I have applied for one adult and one child OCI application today in-person at BLS Toronto. Had appointment but people in walk-in were there since last night.

One of my friend sent the postal application for Surrender Certificate via Canada Post .
BLS haven't accepted the application and returned it as it is

oh. they are really money minded. They have some sort of tie up with Purolator i think

Will do. Please update progress here -- especially when BLS processes it which I use as an equivalent application date to match walk-in.

Thanks. I am just concerned that the processing may take longer due to Diwali holidays in India.

I do not think that will have any significant effect based on my understanding of the process. A day or two slow down as the consulate closes for those holidays, but that should pickup quickly as we saw with Thanksgiving last week. Hoping for the best.

The day I was there the security guard said he admitted 40 walk-in people when they opened at 8 am. Not sure how they determine that number.. Was a weekday though. Hope you make it.
