So far as I know yes.
I’m waaaay over 18 lol, born Canadian, I work full time. Never sponsored someone before. Does anyone know what the low income cut off amount is yearly? Are we talking like under $30,000?

You don’t need to worry about the low income cut off unless you have a dependent with a dependent of their own. You’ve received your AOR, so I’d say it’s safe to you’re ok.

Directly from the basic guide:

Note: There is no low income cut-off (LICO) for spouse, partner or dependent child sponsorships, unless a dependent child also has one or more dependent children of their own. If a dependent child you are sponsoring has one or more dependent children of their own, you must include a Financial Evaluation (IMM 1283) form with your application (see your checklist for more details).

Thanks so much :)

On sponsorship application status, I only see "Decision Made". Does it mean the stage is completed and no issue with SA.
My spouse did a biometric exercise in Aug 2018 for visitors visa and it's already showing on the current spousal sponsorship application, but they are requesting for another. Does she have to do it again?

But to be honest i personally know some one who was stayed in India for 14 months and successfully sponsored his wife. He was working the whole time and paying taxes here obviously though.

I'm having second thoughts just because my lawyer is telling me to not go.

This is the precise reason why I always beleived its all about luck with the Immigration dept in Canada. Always inconsistent..lol

Have biometrics been requested yet? That'll need to be completed and then your application will be sent to your local VO, after that you'll receive AOR2 and the background checks kick in.

Not yet. Our Biometrics status is "We do not need your fingerprints. We will send you a message if this changes."
Is that typical?

Yes, you'll get a biometric request. GCKEY says the same thing for the medical before you get the request:

Review of medical results: You do not need a medical exam. We will send you a message if this changes.

Received Medicals Request today. Can Anybody Suggest me what should be done after taking the exam. Do we need to upload or send to CIC or Labs will send the reports to the immigration directly?
