Hi All,

Below is my situation which will describe how inefficiently CIC works.I hope this doesn't happen with anyone.

I sent my initial application on August 20 by UPS with tracking number which was received at CPC Mississauga .I called CIC call centre once the website was updated with the application processing date passed my application date.(On October 30 CIC website showed application received on August 26 being processed ). They sent query to CPC Mississauga office and asked me to wait until they contact me.

When i followed up again after a week CIC call centre told me they have to wait 90 days before they can sent query to Mississauga office about the status on the application again.I did not receive the application back from CIC and there was no note that it has been sent back.

For backup my consultant had the photocopy of the original file sent. After several unsuccessful attempt to get any answer from CIC we decided to send the photocopy of my original file with the cover letter explaining the situation.

When i spoke to CIC call centre agent on Nov 17 they told me that it shows that my file has been received on Nov 6 and they are gone issue AOR soon.

What would have happen if we would have not sent the photocopy of the original application and waited for months to hear back from CIC.

I followed up today to see if they were able to locate my original file which was sent on Aug 20, i explained agent the situation ,after 10 mins of conversation i was shocked at his reply. He said he believes that i am not the applicant and would close the conversation telling me that its well within his right .

So i called back again only to find out that there has been no update on my application. They are not telling me what has happened to the original file sent on Aug 20,2015.

You should use the first one. The one with the P.O Box. The second one is for those sending their applications via private couries such as UPS, Fedex, etc. Good luck!

I didn't include the representative form nor put n/a in the checklist and according to the canada post they received my file in Nov 4 they should've sent it back if they think i missed some documents right?

I am the sponsor 2 things :

I used myself as my husbands representative ( you are allowed) secondly my package was returned initially inwas a September 2015 application but after i had to resubmit I which was in middle Oftober 2015 I became a October 2015 applicant

If you use the sponsor person as the representative that person will get copies of everything and able to see what is going on with the sponsored person file as well

Thank you for your reply, I did not put my sponsors address nor my sponsors phone number so I think this is what CIC wants to see for them not to ask for the ''use of representative form''.

But do you think my current address matters? I am currently in Canada (so I put my address here) and going back to Philippines on January 18 since my visa is expiring on January 30, 2016.

To be on the safe side I would update CIC with your address in the Philippines once you return (at that time - that would be Your current address- but I do think a email address is better, they prefer to communicate through emails)

Didn't include the Use of a Representative Form as well but my wife did put n/a on all forms that we did not include just to be sure.

Crossing our fingers that all of our applications won't be returned.

Unfortunately I think it can still be sent back around the time you would get AOR. We put N/A by use of representative but not by the other forms that we did not need to include, would be very frustrating if they sent it back since answers in the main forms indicate that we are married and have no dependants (so theres no reason for us to include the common law declaration or additional dependants form)

I just want to know how did you organized your photos? I put mine in a plastic sleeves (I printed out the photos on 4x6). I hope this is not an issue.

Sorry for the late reply. We didn't put them in sleeves since we saw in the 3905E that they should be sent in loose and not in containers. We just arranged them by bundle and labelled each by occassion/trip such as HK 2015, New Zealand 2015, Boracay 2014, With Family and Friends, etc. We had more than a hundred photos from the first time we met all the way to our wedding and honeymoon photos so it was easier to send them in that way. We wrote captions at the back as well.

Saw that you sent in your application already. I don't think the sleeves would be an issue. As long as it's not in a binder or album, it should be okay. Good luck to us!

no worries at all, and yes I really hope the plastic sleeves will not be a problem, I read some posts and some used the same to better organize their photos, but I am not sure if our visa office will accept it, cross fingers .

Finally got mine in the mail today! Dunno if I count as Nov 2015 or Dec 2015 as the won't get it til December
