AOR typically happens 1 month after the application is received, give or take a few days.

SA typically happens 2 months after the application is received, or approximately 1 month after AOR.

Some people may see times closer to 40 days.

Check out the spreadsheet in my signature, and you can see all the data from this past year. It'll help you get time estimates.

Add yourself, too, to the spreadsheet! The more data, the better!
With that being said - then my AOR is late ????? (It's pass 1 month )
People in September are now receiving ???
Haven't received anything yet - I submitted my application on October 14 and they received it on Octiber 15
So where's the AOR lol ????

Hi All,

We are now ready to send our application, but we are a little bit confused about using a representative or not. Here's the case, My husband(Canadian Citizen by birth, resident of Quebec)) and I are going back to Philippines on January and might stay in my home country as my visitors visa here in Canada will expire on January 30, 2016. On his application he used his parents address in Montreal as his residential and mailing address. Question: If something is missing on my application and it will be return by cic (which I hope won't happen), where are they going to send it? to my mailing address in Manila or on my husbands mailing address in Montreal? If it will be send to my husbands mailing address, should we fill out and submit the IMM5476 ''Use of Representative''? Please advice.

Thanks
I am the sponsor 2 things :

I used myself as my husbands representative ( you are allowed) secondly my package was returned initially inwas a September 2015 application but after i had to resubmit I which was in middle Oftober 2015 I became a October 2015 applicant

If you use the sponsor person as the representative that person will get copies of everything and able to see what is going on with the sponsored person file as well

Good luck

I finally got our application in this month! It was delivered on 17 Nov 2015 in the morning and received by Erika.

So far I have just been here to ask questions when I have specific questions, or to read answers to earlier posts about things I'm wondering about...but I keep coming back, so I might as well just go ahead and participate more! I was reading through the Oct - spousal applications post and people were celebrating about getting their apps in. You guys understand!! ;D It was such a huge job to get everything together. Hopefully I did things right and it won't come right back.

I sent it in organized really nicely. I had these file folders that had sections built into them, and I made indexes on the outsides of them, that corresponded to the document checklist. It was beautiful. So, nothing was stapled and I didn't use any paperclips, but it was easy to find anything. I don't know if that actually helps them or not. I also made a list of things that were not included and explanations for why each thing was not included. I see now that some people from October got theirs back for not including a use of representative form even though they didn't use a representative, so now I'm glad I included that!

I'm hoping that our case is pretty straightforward and gets processed quickly. I think it is. We are really married and have been for several years, we are a real family, we're not criminals, we paid all fees upfront, etc. So. We'll see!

Just wonder how did you guys know who signed the application?
I submitted my application early November, all I can check from post office was it delivered. But I can't see who signed the application.

We used UPS so we can track who received our application. Ours was signed for by Erica last November 19.

I didn't use UPS but I used another courier, Purolator. Any of the couriers that make them sign at delivery would include it. I don't think it really matters who receives it, but it was kind of fun to see, anyway.

Hey guys, I sent my application on November as well. However, I am a bit concerned after reading the October Outland Thread that I may have overlooked something when filling out the application form. Me and my partner both put our residential address as our address overseas which is where we are living right now and we put our mailing address as my parents address in Canada for mailing purposes even though we included our email addresses already. We did not include the representative form but we did put N/A on the checklist and any other applicable areas on the application form, which leads me to believe that our form may be sent back to us because of this reason...

Maybe it's just normal to feel like you've missed something very important. I feel the same way but I think maybe we're just overthinking. Since Oct applicants are now receiving their AORs, I'm really hoping that we'll get ours soons. Let's just pray that none of our applications get sent back and keep updating each other. :)

Yes I agree it was a lot of work - I thought I was handing in a University assignment

We from the October 2015 thread are definitely happy, because The process is finally moving and yes few of us got our applications returned (including myself)

I pray this doesn't happen to you - because if they do return yours - they will return it in a complete mess, nothing like what you sent in - it's awful !!

Put please don't worry or stress you seem to be well organized and your package will be fine......it's now November the 26th that pacakge would have been returned weeks ago lol .... I know what I'm saying because it took them 1 week after I submitted my package, so need need to worry.

your good

The waiting begins just like anxiouswifey said !!!

Thanks for the quick response
I used speed post service from our post office, that's sort of like the courier.

i didn't put my email in the application
As it stated if put email, all the communication will be via email, and I was worrying email will not be safe or in case it falls to the junk box and I can't see it.

Can I request them to communicate with me via email afterward (say after I got AOR)

If I were you I would send them your email - they mostly communicate through email you can always check your junk mail too - wouldn't hurt to do so.

Good luck
