OMG!!!! I did not even think about AOR2 from Sao Paulo! I should get off this Forum. This is seriously damaging my mental sanity. LOL. Why did I not think of AOR2? Shoot, I'd better go and check my email now!

yeah this forum is bad for us!

take it easy for the rest of the week, I don't think they pay for overnight shipping to Sao Paolo.

Starting monday you should really check your e-mails every 5 minutes!

lol yeah im crazy! thanks for the info !

even worst for me I have to apply for the CSQ so will have that to check every 5 minutes right after the S/A.

you should still check your e-mail every 5 minutes you may get AOR2 ? or sao paolo doesn't send one ?

CSQ= Certificat du Selection du Quebec
Boy, am I glad I'm in Ontario, then.
Best of luck! Is it hard to get?

looks like it's pretty easy it's more like pay 300$ to Quebec since they like to manage their own thing you know to have the power! atleast we don't ahve to submit option C and a bunch of other things ...

guys it has been updated and nothing is getting better :
(Working on applications received on November 6, 2014) now 89 days!

Seriously what is happening?!?!?!? If it is going to take 3 months to obtain approval here in Canada, just imagine how much longer it will take the overseas office to approve our applications...This is just so sad.

I called CIC as it was now past the date of my application being received, and the lady said I was approved, and the letter was sent to my email on February 3rd. She indicated I needed to go in and check my junk mail. I went in and did it, but there is still nothing there (as I had checked numerious times)! She is no longer on the phone, but I don't know if there is specific information in that letter I need to know. Would anyone mind attaching what the Approval says (is it generic, or specific??). I don't know if I should call back and say I never received the email? The AOR went to the right email, not sure how this one did not? But on the plus side, I am super happy that it was approved!!! As well, my ecas still says that the application was received.

Congrats!!!

What's going on with CIC?

Jennylee! congratulations!
You should be happy indeed. I would not worry too much about not getting the email. If the lady from CIC checked your file in their system and saw that you got SA then you got SA!!!!!!! That is fantastic news.
The email I got a couple of days ago about SA was just pretty generic. It was addressed to me (the sponsor) and basically said I had been approved as a sponsor and our application was going to be forwarded to the pertinent VO (in our case its Sao Paulo). My ECAS also did not change (just as yours never did) but it will probably change in the next few days (or weeks or whatever). I'm just happy we got SA and now it will be in the hands of the VO.
Enjoy your SA and be happy! We all tend to worry too much (me, as well) but sometimes it's not necessary.
Good luck on your next step!

Thanks Chezvelo! Yes, I should definitely focus on the positive! I just wish I had known on the 3rd to avoid the past two days of angst/worrying, but oh well, it's over now! Thanks for letting me know what was in the letter. Based on what you said, I am not going to worry too much about that then, and focus now on the second stage. Hopefully in the next few days/week the ECAS will bve updated and provide some more detail on the process they will follow in the PR review. I'm hoping it will be really quick. Sending out positive thoughts to all those still looking to receive AOR/SA and those onto the PR review. Hopefully we will get through all this as quick as possible. When I was on the phone, the recording said they were only working on any Inland sponsorship request submitted in Sept, 2013 so even with what feels like a crazy delay for us compared to people that submitted before us, it's still a lot better than the Inland process. Best of luck everyone!

Just received the AOR email but there is one slight concern. It lists my name in the correct order (first/last) however when it lists my wife's name at the bottom of the email it's last/first. I know she made an error when filling out the forms originally but I thought corrected that mistake. Please tell me this is the same format for everyone that receives the email? If not, what should I do?
