Got SA today, finally!!!
File submitted Nov. 5th. I received AoR on January 18th and received SA today (february 4th).
That was a loooong stretch between AoR and SA for me, let me tell you! LOL
Hang in there, people, it's coming sooner or later!

Roughly how long after receipt of AOR do we have access to ECAS? I received AOR today and at the moment - cannot get access using the UCI or File number...

every case is different, but judging from other people's posts on this Forum, we all know ECAS is never updated until a later date. Mine was up and running a couple of days after I got AOR.

Just checked on ECAS and it has updated to say "decision made" under the Sponsor Approval part. Our application was received 5th November. Got AOR via email on 28th Jan and ECAS says that CIC sent me a letter on the 30th of January. Still haven't got the letter so hopefully soon. I just hope decision made means approval, does anyone know?! The section in ECAS under Permanent Residence Application Status still says Application Received but when you go into it it has now been updated with "medicals received".

Ill take any sort of news as good news for now!

it's most likely good news! but call the call center if you are the sponsor and they will tell you!

it was an email with a PDF attachement. The attachement, when you open it, is an actual letter saying you have been approved as a Sponsor and that your application is being forwarded to whichever VO it needs to go, depending on your partner's/spouse's nationality.

Fab, you're too funny. Does it really matter if it's an email or an email with an attachment? if you see ANYTHING coming from CIC, open it right away! LOL.
I was checking both ECAS and my email every 5 minutes before I got SA, and now that it's finally here, I only check ECAS every 5 minutes. I don't think life has changed much for me either! LOL
PS: I can feel your pain. We are all in the same boat.

even worst for me I have to apply for the CSQ so will have that to check every 5 minutes right after the S/A.

you should still check your e-mail every 5 minutes you may get AOR2 ? or sao paolo doesn't send one ?

OMG!!!! I did not even think about AOR2 from Sao Paulo! I should get off this Forum. This is seriously damaging my mental sanity. LOL. Why did I not think of AOR2? Shoot, I'd better go and check my email now!
