You guys will get a letter via email stating to send the updated forms to an address different from where you first mailed it, just so they put it together with your other papers. Give them a call to see if you can do it now even before they tell you so...not sure

I called them today regarding the new application form. CIC call center told me, first of all they dont know the difference between the new form and the old form, but regardless of the difference, we can not send out anything before they open our package and assign a case number. Without a case number they wouldn't know where to add new documents.

But if they request us to fill out the new form, they will treat the application as a new application again which means the waiting counter will reset to 0 and we will have to wait another 81 days or whatever the wait time is at that moment.

only good news is, sometimes they will not request us to fill out the new form in case the difference between the forms are not substantial. Meaning if the information required in the new form also exists in the old form.

I have compared two form very briefly and the two forms looks pretty similar to me. (my form does not have dependent information as we dont have any dependents)

Good luck to you all.

I can't believe that they would start it from scratch!! Did you ask the CIC about those applications that were submitted prior to the release of the new application form? When I submitted, the November form was not posted to the website (sent on November 4th). It just seems crazy that they would just skip right over us all and go to December.... I cannot wait another 3 months for sponsor review!

My application was received July 11 and the 008 form was updated Aug and I was asked to send new form set my app back 42 days to start over. Aug 19 asked to sent another 0054 set back anther 42 days and then Oct 8 told app was complete how ever after my MP office called she found out they were processing it as inland not out land so st back anther 42 days all in all 5 Months to get SA so best of luck to all

Just to make things clear, I initially sent our papers (I'm the sponsor) in late Aug. Unfortunately, had to resubmit forms. They got the updated forms on Oct 2nd... I called them and been told I had to restart the counting lol (it is actually written on their website - they start processing applications AFTER THEY RECEIVE A COMPLETE APPLICATION PACKAGE). It is not considered "complete" if you submit outdated forms. I consider myself as an October applicant and not August lol since that was when they got my "complete application". But then again, it was still fast since Manila visa office requested my husband's passport after 2 months of being approved as a sponsor. :)

After how long after u sent in ur application, they requested new forms?

Good luck to you all.

My application form (sponsor) didn't have lots of changes, just dependant's age from 22 to 19 yrs old. My husband and I don't have any dependants, but they still asked me to send updated forms :(

Good news everyone... They are starting to look at November applications! :D On the 16th I received my AOR...so they are moving! And looking at Elle's message above, the letter indicates if you have August forms or later you would be okay, which we all would be if we missed the November application (and you used the most recent one before that). I think we should be okay!!! Hopefully others are receiving their AORs as well. My application was received November 4.
