we sent our on Nov 24th and it still says out for delivery. I'm so nervous with that new form because I really hope it won't delay things.

Yes, we used Aug. ver 2014 IMM0008. I'd checked all forms on 17 Nov. did not see Nov. ver IMM0008.

Since the change is very minor and if the rest of the other documents are fine ..Hopefully they will proceed with the Aug 0008 form.

I see some of you are freaking out abt Canada post not updating delivery status. I was in the same situation. I can assure you that it has been delivered, they are pretty bad at updating status. Don't need to worry.

CIC is also issuing AORs again.

Yes I requested signature. It was signed by someone at the PO Box address.

I just looked up on Canada Post and it's finally "delivered"
Uff.. I am so relived!
Now.. I can sleep better loll
PS: I was delivered on the 25th nov but they only updated today 1st Dec.

Now I am seeing that I sent the older version of IMM 0008 (06-2014) form.
I double checked in Nov first week. By the time I received from my wife from India and sending it Dec 1 its already changed.
If they keep changing one form every month then it will take for ever to complete.

I believe you don't need to have file number to check your status online.
It can be checked using the Receipt Number (IMM 5401) from the drop down Identification Type.
For those whose package is delivered in early Nov, Can you please check if its see any status using the Receipt Number.
I am planning to submit, new form using the Receipt Number as my identification once there is an entry in the system.
Because I don't want to lose 2 months and then submit the new forms after they request which would delay the application further.
I am planning to meet my local MP to explain the situation and request them to accept both versions of the form during the transition.

I just submitted on Monday.
I know for sure that they will ask for new forms. There is a little hope that they might not as there is not changes if form which would impact me (no dependent). Keep checking using the receipt Number, you will get to know as soon as your application enters the system.
