I would suggest you to wait for a request from their side.

Hey guys,

what's the story with RCMP? I thought we are required to send the police certificate from the country of origin only????

I am March applicant, I submitted the original police certificate from my country of origin. I haven't submitted the Canadian police certificate, as
far as I know it is not required to submit a Canadian police check as well!!

RCMP is police certificate from Canada. You need to submit PCC from all countries where you have lived for more than 6 months. RCMP is not mandatory and CIC request this on case to case basis.

Its not required unless CIC requests it.

their web site says specifically that this applies to all countries other than CANADA

These documents are to be provided for each country other than Canada, in which you have lived for six (6) consecutive months or longer since reaching the age of 18.

however, does it have to be issued within three month of request or something?? I am thinking of getting it before they even ask just in case and once they ask I will send it right away

That's why said, it is not mandatory and on case to case basis. Yes, validity is 3 months. I wont suggest you to do this without request from CIC, but its up to you.

Second that. Wait for the RCMP request and then complete the process at an accredited fingerprinting service.
They'll do it online and it'll be a super quick process.

Thanks Toby,

Any suggestion for my case. They are asking RCMP again which I sent by Canada post one month back. I have delivery receipt with signature which I already sent to them. I am thinking to wait till Friday and will do this again in case I will not get any response.

Thanks everybody.
Sp today i went for my RCMP fingerprints at an agency (as listed on the RCMP website)- They advised me to simply add my application no and the CPC-Ottawa address and RCMP will directly mail it over to that Ottawa address.

Since we have ~4 weeks to get the RCMP originals to CPC-Ottawa, i decided to go ahead with the option of having RCMP sending it directly to CPC-Ottawa. Could somebody comment if this was OK process wise..?

I didn't get and will not receive any Acknowledgement for this except for the payment receipt. Should i also reply back to the CPC email letting them know that is should be on its way?

Thx guys
