Hi skm12345,
I might be very confused here, and so we'll need clarification from the senior members, but this is what I understand...
When you say "I have already submitted RCMP for me and my wife on 7th April" you mean the Police Certificate of your country of origin, right?
But on this letter, when they ask for a "certified RCMP criminal record check based on fingerprints", it means a Canadian background check, which is only asked for to some of the applicants. The email letter is a standard format and even though it states "we are still missing", it's used even if it's the first time they send the request to you.
Unless, this is the second notice you get and you did send Canadian RCMP certificate, then you can disregard this request as the letter says so.
So the big question here is, what kind of document did you send on April 7th?
Seniors, is this right? or am I just confusing people here?

All,

I have received below.

This is in reference to your application for permanent residence in Canada. Our records indicate that we are still missing the following document(s) in order to finalize your application:
FOR THE PRIMARY APPLICANT:
Ø Police Certificate: A certified RCMP criminal record check based on fingerprints. For more information, please consult the following website. This must be received at this office by: 2014/06/04
NOTE: IF YOU HAVE ALREADY SUBMITTED THIS DOCUMENT, PLEASE DISREGARD THIS REQUEST. WE WILL CONTACT YOU WITH FURTHER INSTRUCTION ONCE A VISA OFFICER HAS REVIEWED YOUR APPLICATION. DO NOT SEND US SCANNED COPIES OF THE CERTIFICATE BY EMAIL AS WE WILL ONLY ACCEPT ORIGINAL COPIES OF THIS DOCUMENT.
The above information/documents must be received in our office within 30 days from the date of this letter. Please quote your complete application number on your correspondence and address your correspondence to the address indicated below.

But I have already submitted RCMP for me and my wife on 7th April. I have sent them an email with delivery receipt. Please suggest shall I ignore or do this again. I m thinking to do it again in case I will not hear back from them this week.

I see some of the members have a date for file transferred? What does that mean and how can you find it?

You can find out when your file has been transferred by requesting GCMS notes.

Hi Sandia,

RCMP is for Canada Police Certificate only this is not used for any other country. For all other countries, it is called PCC.

Bottom line, I have submitted whatever they are asking now, one month back and original by Post. Now they are asking same thing again, so ether they didn't get it or some other problem. I have sent them delivery receipt from Canada Post with signature. If they will not come back in 2 days, I will do it again.

I believe the NOV 09,2013 Rule change is affecting the overall process of CEC.
As for VO at CPC-O its their daily routine of verification and analysing the applications so I guess they are revising the new rule change and making sure very carefully to avoid mistakes.
Hope to see some progress soon.... :-X :-X :-X :-X :-X :-X

I thought under new rule it will be fast with more filtering upfront

That's true my friend but it will be fast once it gets started ... Consider a new Manager at your workplace with some new thoughts & ideas. It will take some time to adjust initially after that it gets improved.
Its just a thought I could be wrong...
Coz, No updates since last Saturday makes me worried... :-X :-X :-X :-X :o :o :o :o :o

What is the email address from which you guys are getting RCMP request?

Did my medicals today. It will take them 2 weeks to upload results (not the fastest doctor, but it was easy to book her after 5 pm since I work 9-5). Her name is Inna Roitberg at Bathurst and Steeles for those who live in Toronto and don't wanna wait 1-2 weeks for medical appointment.

I had a terrible cold the whole week so I am coughing like a madman, hopefully that does not delay the medicals, since there were x-raying lungs and stuff. They also took urine, blood... And physical exam. $600 was paid for me and my husband.

I read all the comments above and realized that may be, just may be, I was lucky to receive medicals so quickly because I submitted RCMP right at the beginning with my application? In any case I understand how difficult it is to wait so I wish that we all get to the final stage of landing.

Btw, I thought I would calm the hell down after medicals, still paranoid about so many little things... I know I don't have HIV or Tuberculosis but still waiting for the results is difficult, always paranoid they find something that may f*ck the whole thing... I guess it is just my paranoid nature...

GOOD LUCK TO ALL, GUYS!

There will be long wait. I am guessing they are planning to finish old batch before moving to new rules (After 8th November) so wait
can be longer guys don’t get frustrated. It clearly make sense to finish application falling under old set of rules b4 they decide for new ones.

Did they check strictly for new rules during the first round at Sydney ? Any idea if they match NOC and Job duties at sydney ?

Im worried because im 1 of that 6 noc taht is ineligible to apply cec now..they received my application nov 7, 2013.. Do you think guys they will delayed my papers too because of the new rule last nov 9, 2013? I recieved my aor dec 10. :(

RCMP has been an issue lately for some of us..

I called rcmp today though i havent recieve any response yet from CIC requesting any additional requirements from me, to my surprise the whole month of may are booked for fingerprinting..

That makes me think twice, maybe i should get one ahead..

Did all of VO took off for this week ?
