should we do RCMP without their request ? I didnt do it because that was not part of the package when I was applying.
I would suggest you to wait for a request from their side.gudluckcanada said:should we do RCMP without their request ? I didnt do it because that was not part of the package when I was applying.
RCMP is police certificate from Canada. You need to submit PCC from all countries where you have lived for more than 6 months. RCMP is not mandatory and CIC request this on case to case basis.C_Survival said:Hey guys,
what's the story with RCMP? I thought we are required to send the police certificate from the country of origin only????
I am March applicant, I submitted the original police certificate from my country of origin. I haven't submitted the Canadian police certificate, as
far as I know it is not required to submit a Canadian police check as well!!
Its not required unless CIC requests it.C_Survival said:Hey guys,

their web site says specifically that this applies to all countries other than CANADAskm12345 said:RCMP is police certificate from Canada. You need to submit PCC from all countries where you have lived for more than 6 months. RCMP is not mandatory and CIC request this on case to case basis.

These documents are to be provided for each country other than Canada, in which you have lived for six (6) consecutive months or longer since reaching the age of 18.
however, does it have to be issued within three month of request or something?? I am thinking of getting it before they even ask just in case and once they ask I will send it right away
Second that. Wait for the RCMP request and then complete the process at an accredited fingerprinting service.skm12345 said:That's why said, it is not mandatory and on case to case basis. Yes, validity is 3 months. I wont suggest you to do this without request from CIC, but its up to you.
Thanks Toby,iam_toby said:Second that. Wait for the RCMP request and then complete the process at an accredited fingerprinting service.
They'll do it online and it'll be a super quick process.
