Nantu85- I too received RCMP certificate request today (got 30 days to send the originals)
Could you please outline the process of getting the RCMP certificate?
which one is fastest- going to a private company or to a local police station?

Either ways, who sends the out the originals to CIC along with my application number (me or the private company/police station)?

Pls advise

I went to a private company here in Ottawa called Reliability Screening Solutions Inc.

There was no waiting whatsoever, just booked an appointment, went in, did the fingerprints, and paid like 30$ or something, don't remember. It was fast.

They did ask me if I wanted it to be sent to CPC or to my address, I chose the later.

Thanks for a quick reply, Appreciate your time- So essentially you walk in, give ur fingerprints, they will mail you back (at your home address) the RCMP report, correct? How long does it take to get this RCMP report back?

Also, whats the deal with this online fingerprint thing...? or i dont have to worry about it?

Hi guys, need your advice on this dilemma.

I just got an email from CPC, a "Final Reminder", and they asked me to send them the Police Certificate. The thing is, I already included that document (with fingerfrints and everything from RCMP) in my original package. In the email it does say that If I already submitted it, I could disregard the request.

What do you think I should do? send another copy or just ignore it?

Thanks.

I'm a december applicant and am in the same situation, I submitted RCMP with my application but they have still sent me a request for RCMP, I am assuming this is automated and they haven't gone through my application yet but thinking it might be worth sending another one in just in case?

I don't remember the exact length but it was quite fast, about 2 -3 weeks, you could ask them to send the report directly to CPC so you don't have to do it yourself, it's your choice. Because I didn't have my package ready by then so I requested them to send it back to me.

Not to be sounding a stickler, but 2-3 weeks sounds scary given CIC has given us ~4 weeks to send them back the original RCMP certificate. I think it's a good idea to have one of the private agency send it directly to the CIC.

Guys is this the most updated address for CIC, pls confirm? In the email that i have received while it mentions that send the original to the address below, but the address is not complete that is why i ask.
