OK I'm freaking out a little bit over my application. When it asked for me to include a copy of my passport I didn't send a copy of the whole thing (It's a new one so there are no stamps in it) I just sent them a copy of the first page with my picture and my info. Am I screwed? Was I supposed to send in a copy of the ENTIRE passport?!! I've seen other people talking about this and it appears that they may have sent a copy of the whole thing and now I'm getting nervous that this could slow down our application!!

No, you are OK :) This is a copy and paste from the Country Specific - United States checklist:

TRAVEL DOCUMENTS AND PASSPORTS
Passports or travel documents for you, your spouse or common-law partner and dependent children. Include only copies of pages showing the passport number, date of issue and expiration, your photo, name, surname (family name), date and place of birth.

you right annie...???

You should be fine I only included the page with all my info and picture on it and any pages that there was a stamp, I don't see why they would need to see all the empty pages lol, of course if they did need to see it they would just ask for it anyway :)

Hi Shahriar001,
same happened to mine too but they told me it is a technical fault. I will advice you to call them and hear from the horses mouth for reassurance. It has been same for me since Feb. 4. I am only seeing my citizenship application till date.

look you can add them as you want as much as it sshowing there communication between you and your spouse thats fine not all couple speaking english ok its very fine and as soon as you wiill accpeted for sponsorship you can send them then or you can send them now it will be good for you

Hello Ross & welcome.

For within Canada: CIC call centre @ 888-242-2100.
For outside Canada: +1 613 944 4000 (for an agent: options 1,2,1,2,1 ... then 0 to skip the message). Some say this number is intended to be used for inside Canada and that agents may be difficult if they know you are not currently in Canada.

Thanks CanadaNow

Called CIC to check on the progress of my application (hadn't heard a peep since it arrived on Nov 20th) and they said it was in progress.

An hour later - email through from OttPilot-Immigration@cic.gc.ca confirming Stage 1 approval!!

Yay! Congrats to you, it's a wonderful feeling isn't it? There's so much positive feedback coming out of our November group, if it wasn't for this forum I wouldn't have such a positive outlook on all of this. Just wanna say thanks again to all of you, you've all become the best support system throughout this whole process <3

I'm beginning to think you two have met before.

Hi IvanP,

LOL. We definitely have met each other (and liked/loved what we saw in each other). Canadanow is my husband and seems like he decided to pull one on me here. Which he knew would have me blushing furiously.

Happy for you rpurdie! That first email does kick start the process. I hope everything goes fast for you after this.

Hi all,
Well I recieved a mail last week from the Buenos Aires VO requesting my wifes birth certificate (forgot to send it first time around) and two more photos. The photo request had me scratching my head as I had already supplied them with 8 photos. I looked at the photo specs ....35mm x 45mm and the the size from the chin to the crown of the head ....25mm - 30mm. Not the same size as the immigration photos I had already supplied so I went onto the immigration website and searched under the permanate residence card specs,,and lo and behold,,,,they require two photos with the same measurements the VO asked for....Looks to me like my wife has been approved for her PR visa. Why ask for these photos if she wasn't?......I imagine that if I had of supplied her birth certificate when I subbmitted her application originallly they would have asked for her passport now as well....probably ask for it as soon as they reicieve her birth certificate........So tell me.......am I nuts to think this or what???

oh boy i really hope they arent too specific about the measurement requirements for immigration photos, the guy who did mine did an awful job cutting them and had a really hard time understanding that they had to be that specific size or else theyre no good lol... i insisted he let me do it but he refused, i mean if worse comes to worse ill go and get them done again, but does anyone know where i should go to get them done instead of jsut a drug store that does regular passport photos? cause when i tell them theyre immigration photos and not for a passport they kinda look at me like they have no idea what im talking about or they say "isnt that the same thing?" even though it says right on the country specific guide that "PASSPORT PHOTOS AND IMMIGRATION PHOTOS ARE NOT THE SAME" lol.
