Go to profile thn choose the Look and LayOut Preference thn select the check box of Show most recent posts at the top. Is it Helpfull???

Thanks to all who offered suggestions. This suggestion was exactly what I was looking for.

Under "Look and layout preference" there were two check boxes that I had to enable as follows....
- Show most recent posts at the top
- Show most recent personal messages at top

Hi All,

I called the gov't again today. Finally got notification that they have actually received our package... on Nov 28th!! Up until now I only had the canada post tracking number.
The agent told me that "its completely normal that your application processing has not started". When I pointed out that this was much longer than the 55 days, she told me that this number is not important and that I should pay attention to the date (which stayed at Nov 20th again this week!).

Its just so frustrating because I know of many cases that were submitted weeks after me and have already received approval.

I have a question for the group... what is the "ecas" that you are referring to?

Hello

Once you receive stage one approval you will get a UCI number and an application number. The link will be in the letter/email to access ecase as well.

It doesn't always work the same day. It took about three days for me to be able to log in.

The information you will see is is in two sections the first is stage 1. Which refrs to the sponsor, stage 2 is for the principal applicant.

As others have said it is not reliable as it doesn't get updated regularly.

ECAS (E-Client Application Status ) - It is a software/App which helps us to track our application progress. Its a webservice feed which get updated once/twice in a week. It shows ur current mailing address and CURRENT STATUS of our application.

hey guys a question...Did u guys include prof of communication in the application for ur sponsorship?
like skype...whatsapp? and msgs? if i didint include that and just stated that i use skype cuz calling straight is expensive and also becuz they dont approve phone cards? also id have to translate the msgs cuz we dont speak english in our msgs ! thx guys

When I come to the forums, I click on the link at the very top left of the page "Show new replies to your posts." Then when it shows the threads with new posts, I click on the little blue "NEW" word before the long list of page numbers. That seems to work for me; it opens up this thread to where I left off.

It looks like we are in almost the exact same situation (I assume from your name you're also going through the Sydney office?). Mine was received on November 22 and no word on that yet either. I had a minor panic when I first visited the forums and saw how many people whose files were received after mine were already approved... Looks like we just submitted the wrong week!

I'm in Canada but my work permit expires in May so I was really hoping for some good luck and a speedy processing... looks like that's not to be....

I don't have any advice to offer, just thought I'd let you know that I'm in the same boat! Hang in there!

I did the same. I've called them last couple weeks since it's over the 55 days mark, but was told to wait until the date is past my receipt date at CIC of Nov 21. So annoyed that not only did they actually update the site on Nov. 8th, but also did not move by a single day I was hoping it would have moved to Nov 22 or later.

I really hope it's one of those cases where it's already approved and on it's way to VO. Not sure if someone can chime in, but I would think if something was missing they would have either sent the app back or requested more docs by now?

I wouldn't worry yet. I was in the same position with my application when it was stuck on Nov 7th. And mine had been recieved via tracking Nov 8th. Then before they moved the date past Nov 7th I recieved a mail on the 14th of jan of my sponsorship approval and that it had been forwarded to my VO in buenos aires. So its a good chance that they are already working on it and you will get some good news soon.

OK I'm freaking out a little bit over my application. When it asked for me to include a copy of my passport I didn't send a copy of the whole thing (It's a new one so there are no stamps in it) I just sent them a copy of the first page with my picture and my info. Am I screwed? Was I supposed to send in a copy of the ENTIRE passport?!! I've seen other people talking about this and it appears that they may have sent a copy of the whole thing and now I'm getting nervous that this could slow down our application!!

I did the same thing, because I understood that's what they ask for, the first two pages (I think it says so in the region specific guide thing, though I read the West Europe one). It seems like they can ask you for copies of every page of your passport before issuing the visa even if you had sent them that in the beginning. So don't worry, I'm pretty sure it's ok, but you can always check the guide for your country to be sure
