Thanks Sweden.

I was really hoping that 31months timeline wouldn't come up again. Every time I see that on their website or hear about it I get tempted to pull my hair out (have resisted this far). The great thing is that after following up on Nairobi applicants threads from 2011 and beginning of 2012 (spousal applications) my husband and I found that it took 8-10months for all of them with an exception of one whose whole process from application to landing took 3months and 19days (can't help but wish the same applies for us). We have to just keep praying for the best.

And having the sponsorship that fast was definitely a positive. On the website it talks about sponsorships in this category taking 35 days. A friend of my husband also going through the same process got his sponsorship approved in 35 days. So things just may looking up one day at a time. When we first checked out the dates at the beginning of the year (2012) they said to expect the process to take 3months.

Good luck to us all!!

To another week.. Let's hope for good news for all us November Applicants!!!

To the new additions would you like to be added to the spreadsheet?? Just let me know!

Praying that news comes faster.

Hello Ms Malawi,

Please do add my husband (username Canadanow) and I to the spreadsheet. You can use my timeline since I am the last one to comment thus the dates are more readily available from my profile. Thanks in advance.

I also applied in November my application was received by cic novemeber 23 along with the medical. Now it's just the wait game.

Hi all,
I'm starting to get frustrated with this. So, so, so frustrated. But oh well, what else can I (we) do but wait!
Good luck everyone :)

Hi m_and_m,
I know what you mean. At least this week if you havn't heard anything you should be able to call CIC and see whats up. You would think that when they update the applications recieved tomorrow on the CIC website that they would also include those recieved Nov 8. Must be really frustrating for the guys whose apps arrived Nov 1st like bscinto92, RM15 and berbu. And the only thing to do is wait, wait, wait, yawn,,,,,,,,,,Wait.

i hate how you cant call CIC from outside of canada that is the dumbest rule ive ever heard. im going back up on the 19th so i guess illl just wait til then to give them a ringaling

Try this number , you should be able to talk with CIC .

613-944-4000
Option 1,2,1,2,1 then 0 to skip the MSG

Hopefully you won't have to give them a call because you'll have the sponsorship approval by then! :-)

Didn't mean to put you down for sure! and yes - Nairobi does process quite a few cases before the 31 months, as it's the time that it takes them to process 80% of applications - but I sure hope you get done before that!
And yes - the sponsorship has gotten much better - I applied in April and had a 92 days wait for the stage 1! the good point ( when I tried to keep positive while waiting) was that I was well prepared for the second stage waiting game! :-)
Good luck to all,
Sweden

PS: if you want to see the results for your VO and how many cases were processed, etc, you can check here www.cic.gc.ca/opendata-donneesouvertes/data/000001-eng.xls CIC just released the new figures for 2012.

Sooooooo quiet. I'm going to be so annoyed if the date moves by a day tomorrow :(

Really curious to know if people that have been waiting 70 days or so have called the call centre to get an update.

How long we gonna wait? Run out of patience, but nothing we can do :(. After the first stage is done, my husband will come back home to visit me. Can't wait.

We got the AOR on 19 Dec. Guess we can move on very soon.
