I got your message, but for some reason can't send you one back!

I have yet to receive sponsorship approval (I'm the one sponsoring by boyfriend/common-law). However, my boyfriend forgot to put in form 5046 - Additional Family Information in the application - CIC sent me a letter stating this fact (I'm back in Canada, so my boyfriend had to resend the form from England!). So I don't know if that's what has held up sponsorship approval. Not sure why that would hold up me being approved for sponsorship. But you never know.

We've just sent the complete form off, so hopefully that's it now. It might be a good idea to call CIC - I'll give it a couple of more weeks seeing as we've just sent off the form. Good luck - hopefully we will all hear soon!

If you recieved a PM but couldn't reply to it it could be because you havn't posted at least 10 times. Once you have posted 10 times other options are available to you including PM's I believe

Hey thanks probably because you have not sent messages over 10.I remember not sending this form too but they havenot sent me any messages or anything .Did you receive the message by email or snail mail.

I don't know for certain, but because they stress that the processing times for both stages (sponsor and applicant) are from "after we receive a complete application package", I suspect it has held up the Sponsor approval.. I would think the whole package goes on hold until they receive the missing documents.

Hopefully once they get the missing document you'll be approved quickly!

They sent me a letter by snail mail. I thought it was a bit weird that they sent the letter to me as I'm the sponsor. I thought if the applicant forgot something, then they would send it to him.

My boyfriend has filled it out - listing me, himself, and his parents in Section A. Section B is left blank (no kids), and Section C, he listed his brothers and sisters. He then signed the appropriate sections. He mailed it to me and then I mailed it on to CIC. CIC sent me a specific label to mail it back with - I guess it goes back to a specific case worker.

Unfortunately, I your husband will have to know, because if he's the applicant, then he needs to sign the form.

Just posted mine off less then 20 minutes ago! It is nice not have the file looking at me from the desk and the draw, that being said, I think I miss it already. I posted it and now my brain is saying "god I hope it doesn't bounce back". now to play the waiting game and try not to over think things!

Gah! This is exactly how I'm feeling. I also sent our application in on the 27th and it was received the next day. Now, I'm just so nervous and stressing it doesn't come back since we also did everything on our own
