oh and one more question. i put my husbands e-mail on the sponsor applications, and my email on my PR applications.... when they approve you for sponsorship do they send that email to the sponsor (my husband)? or to both of us?
Yes, we did the same, my email on Sponsor documents and my husbands on the Applicant docs. Today's emails (two one AOR and one Sponsor approval) only came to me -the sponsor (my husband the applicant didn't get anything.

I know! it there is no rhyme or reason to it. All I can say is that having worked in a Gov't office many years ago (not CIC lol), when they add additional staff to work on things, they don't take the backlog from other workers...the new staff just start taking new work. (Also, some workers are MUCH faster and more productive than others.) It just seems totally random.. whatever stack of paperwork you land in. I'm very happy for me, but I have to agree.. it doesn't seem to make any sense.

But does seem they are moving much faster.. sending prayers and positive thoughts for all Nov applicants for quick approvals!
yeah, never thought about that... that every application gets a different VO so maybe it is that some are faster than others. oh well, ill just obsessively check my emails 20 times a day until i get it like i have been lol. i'm hoping for at least the middle of next week if anything at all.

Hello all,

I have to add a second 'speedy' report. I opened my email this morning to see two emails from CIC - one with an AOR for receiving our application on November 23, and the second was the sponsorship approval letter! I am amazed and impressed with the speed of all of this - I certainly didn't expect anything more than the AOR receipt for many weeks . . .

I wish all the rest of you speedy applications!

[Edit] So our info is:

Visa office: Warsaw
Medical Done: 28-Aug-2012
Application Sent: 21-Nov-2012
Application Received: 23-Nov-2012 (as per courier tracking information)
AOR Received (via email): 29-Nov-2012
Sponsorship Approval: 29-Nov-2012

Congrats grzybec! That's really weird that both of us were approved this morning and both sent/received dates are exactly the same.

Thank you! I had certainly not expected to receive the AOR and sponsorship approval together on the same day. Maybe they're doing a bit of an extra 'push' before the holiday season, getting new applications dealt with?

That was super fast! Congratulations!!! Hope to hear more good news.

I am still wondering how the spreadsheet works! It seems to me as if it is not updated.

Hi all

As i am going to submit my wife's application for PR, me being sponsor i would like to have my following query an answer.

Actually i am confused that whether i should send all the doc's with a checlist on top of it as one set in an envelop or should i put papers of sponsor in one, papers of sponsored spouse in another and additional doc's like marriage photographs and certificates etc. as different sets in different envelops and then put all these in one big envelop. Is it ok to send all doc's as one set or should i go for the other way.

Pls reply urgently as i have to send the application soon....

you can separate in 3 different envelops if you want. Just put the check list of top of the envelops - but also the bar codes - that should be on top, it's specified in the guideline.
Good luck,
Sweden

Maybe RM15 (who is in charge of the updates) is on holidays or something like this... if you want your information added, just post here on the thread, and I'll send a PM to RM15 to see if she/he can do it. If not, I'll add all the newcomers - I'm not in charge of the spreadsheet, and do not want to be in charge of it (I'm from April and just got my PR), but since I created the format, I have access to it if needed.

So - I'll see with RM15 and let you know. In the meantime, for the ones that are not added to the spreadsheet and wish you be, please add your information in the thread ( or a private message to RM15 if you can already - more than 10 posts are needed), and we'll get to the updates soon!

Cheers,
Sweden

I remember reading the instructions somewhere about the barcodes and putting them on top and I forgot to do so. I guess it didn't cause me any problems.

I think our application ended up in three separate sections. I just used little folders: 1 for my sponsor forms, checklist on top, 1 for the sponsored person documents, and one with a few additional documents, which in this case ended up to be just some additional photographs. Most of the 'supporting documentation' we put in context with the folder of the sponsored person documents.

There was a thread on reddit recently I can find the link to, with an employee from CIC who wrote about the organisation of applications. They said that applications often arrive in rather a mess, and before submitting them to the actual immigration inspector, there is an employee responsible for organising the application a bit, so I guess our little errors and omissions get fixed up by someone along the line!

Thank you Sweden. You are always so kind. I am not trying to push RM15 nor anybody. Waiting is boring and cheking this forum became a habit. All the good news make me excited and I feel happy for them. For some reasons, it makes me feel that we are all related somehow. Am I too sentimental :p.
Wish the best luck to all the applicants and Sweden. May we could be with the beloved ones ASAP.

Congratulations IslandAnnie and grzybek!!!

bo12: I know how you feel! Waiting IS boring and we all are part of this November group, I'm happy for those who already got approved and I am (repeating myself and) hoping we all hear good news from CIC soon! :)

Oh yeah I forgot... my husband called CIC yesterday (to ask whether we should send some additional proof or not) and they told him it takes about 2-3 weeks until they'd start processing our application! I do hope this answer was just an answer and not the ultimate truth because then I really don't understand this process at all.
