it will for sure - keep track of plane ticket, boarding pass, etc... you might not need it at all, but in case you do - better be prepared and ready to send everything really quickly when asked! it's also easier to collect as you go, as you are now aware of what is needed ( contrary to when you started the process probably...).

Many thanks to Sweden and RM15 for updating the spreadsheet! It's interesting to see all of this information. It would be interesting to know the actual numbers of applications CIC actually gets in a month . . . I guess this information is available on a quarterly basis from CIC someplace, but I can't remember where.

I was amazed to check the google docs and watch numbers appearing in the cells as I was looking at it .

Another week begins tomorrow for all of us to check emails

Can anyone tell me which email address they use to send correspondences in regards to approval, etc? Would like to add them to safe sender / VIP list so I stop checking my spam folders.

may i ask wether you applied inland or outland. i am currently in Aylmer ontario drowning in a sea of paperwork and unsure wether so send it home to australia or apply inland and possibly have to stay on a visitor extension when my work permit expires april1 2013..

Hi Mevakesh - my sponsor approval came as an email to me (the sponsor). My husband, the applicant, did not receive anything. I'm not sure but I'm thinking the second stage approvals will now start going to my husband. I believe that because we put my email on the sponsor documents and then put my husband's email on the applicant documents... I'm thinking it is sent to whatever email is on the applications (i.e. if someone put the same email on all the documents everything would go there.)

Thanks for the details, I've added them in the spreadsheet.

for the email address: information regarding the sponsorship goes to the sponsor, and then second stage to the applicant.
The email can be either OttPilot-Immigration@cic.gc.ca when Ottawa was giving a hand to Mississauga, or another one, but I think it you add the @cic.gc.ca sender to the safe list, then you should be fine!

Hey OZinON,

If your VO is Sydney, most likely the outland process is actually a faster way for you... Sydney is a really fast and efficient VO, and for now the sponsorship approval is also quite "low" compared to what it used to be... so just my two cents - you might not be done in April 2013, but you could be pretty close to being done... if you look at the Sydney thread, you will see that some people get done in 3 months once they reach the second stage...
Good luck for the paperwork - it is a bit daunting for sure! don't hesitate to ask if something is unclear, there is plenty of people willing to help on the forum, and we have all done the process before...

I've waited for only one week. There is still a long way to go. I really envy those who could be with their partners while waiting. We've been apart for four months and we can only see each other over video chat . CIC and all the VOs could you please pick up your speed.
