Also, has anybody seen a thread and/or spreadsheet for Nairobi applicants? (was thinking in similar fashion to the Pretoria Spreadsheet in Ms. Malawi's signature).

Good to see early November starting to get their approvals. Hopefully rest of us will follow soon.

November applicants really got screwed seeing as to how Dec. spreadsheet looks. Some clerk must have stacked the cart the wrong way or something

well my husband finally has a day off of work, so he's going to put a call into immigration today no matter how many times they tell him they're too busy and cant take any calls lol. we need to get through and figure out why we haven't heard anything and also explain to them that i follow a forum where lots of people (almost all) that applied before, at the same time and after me have already received first stage approval. i will keep you guys updated on what happens. but good news is i got a job interview this sunday so if all goes well ill have something to do to keep my mind off of all this lol.

GUESS WHAT!

we've been approved : ) they confirmed it over the phone with my husband that they sent him an e-mail on December 9th, 2012 to the correct e-mail address but he and i never saw it in his inbox or even his junk mail. is there any reason anyone could think of why it may have not gone through? he tried to have them resend it but apparently it's against their policy to send it out again once it's already been sent, not that it really matters lol we're approved and that's all i could ever ask for on my birthday : ) thank you all for being so patient with me and letting me come here and vent! so glad i found this forum and let's hope that stage 2 comes much faster than first stage did, and hopefully the e-mail gets sent to me this time lol! oh and btw my file has been sent off to the Los Angeles office, just in case that needs to be added to the spreadsheet... not sure why it's gone all the way out there and not to Ottawa though.

yeah congrats!! well you've been approved over a month and half ago, so that's that much time that has gone into the "stage 2 waiting" already - so that's great! enjoy the good news! and happy birthday, and good luck for the interview - phewww so many things at the same time!
For Los Angeles/Ottawa - well things are changing quite a lot with US applicants as Ottawa started sending out COPR but it seems that files are been re-organised a bit... so maybe that's why!

thank you everyone! i know its crazy that even though i've been waiting for 3 months and didn't know we got approved within the first month we found out today...
i'm hoping not to have an interview, because if my file is all the way in Los Angeles that's where i would have to fly to go to my interview, correct? but if i do happen to get scheduled an interview, i'm all for it because i have no problem telling them all about my relationship with my husband and showing them my love for him feeling better about this now.... anyone know what's usually next? lol

My guess would be the wait is next! At least that is what i think. Wait for your file to be reviewed at your VO and then hear back from them, if they need anything or an interview... And then its homefree!

My email is on my application, is that how they will contact me? What if it does not go through like it didn't go through to my husbands email? Will they call me or send me notifications in the regular mail?

That is a good question. From what I have learned it depends on the VO. A lot will call or aend by regular post while some email. The best I can guess is hope for the best! Find out what is common out of LA. I am sure they will contact you and it will reach you. The stage 1 approval may have just been a glitch in the system.
