Applied Date: February 14, 2014
Received Date: February 20, 2014
Processing Date: March 31, 2014
LOT: Some-when in April, 2014
Test Date: April 14, 2015
Oath Date: May 21, 2015

I was (i) Self Employed (had a company: Sole Proprietership) and also
(ii) once had to go back to country to take care of my Sick father.
Do CIC give RQ due to these reasons. If yes its really stupid. Please
throw light.

godhelp Being self employed is definitely a risk factor for an RQ, overseas travel may or may not be factor depending on the number of trips and duration. If you get an RQ its not the end of the world just provide the requested information and if you qualify you will still get Citizenship. Worrying about whether or not you will get an RQ won't help or change the outcome, relax its better for your health.

Baher_2014, congrats on your oath invite. Seems test to oath invitation is at the lower end of 1 - 3 months always indicated after the test/interview. By the way, having come this far, why will you not attend your oath and have to re-schedule. For me, this will rather take priority and everything else can wait.

Hello All,

I am also in Calgary and my file is at local office since April 2014. No news yet for the test. I am preparing my documents just in case for the RQ.

As I understood, RQ could be sent in 3 stages.

1. RQ from Sydney before local office transfer
2. RQ from local office before test
3. RQ from local office after test

Am I correct? What are the difference for them? Which one is the more common?

@ last.fortune.last I have a similar case, I was curious to know if you got any RQ?
