I would agree. There is a difference between the "resident status for tax purposes" and the resident status for immigration purposes. I got "landed immigrant" status in 2010 but only stayed for approx. 2 weeks and finally moved for good in 2011, so I only had to file taxes starting 2011 onwards...

I received the oath letter Monday last week and my status today (7 days later) still shows as "in Progress" with the invitation to the test as last entry. Maybe it changes tomorrow...
