You should send webform once you receive new passport. You don’t need to provide new PCC . Your old PCC is still valid .
Thanks @Miss bee, I have another question. If I update IRCC with my new passport, would the application be returned to me for updating the passport number, date of issue/expiry of they will do it on their end?

I am asking this since I might update my father’s name as it was changed recently, so if they update it on their end would they update the father name as per the passport too or I need to do it?

When you update IRCC with your new passport, they generally update your passport details (number, issue, and expiry dates) in your application on their end, and this doesn’t usually require them to send the application back to you. For the updated passport, it’s best to submit a web form with a clear scan of the new passport, highlighting the changes, and request confirmation that the updated details are noted on your file.
For your father name , just send a Letter of explanation about it . You don’t need to attach any proof. Webform should be good enough.

Hi, Yes, you can raise a web form, write a letter, and explain to them to reconsider. One of the person got AOR within 3 weeks after sending the web form.

would you please explain, how should i start process for webform? because my file have not provided with file number.

If you don’t have an application number, you can still use the IRCC web form to communicate with them by following these steps:

1. Go to the IRCC Web Form: Use this link to access the web form.

2. Select Your Inquiry Type: Choose the appropriate category based on your situation (e.g., temporary residence, permanent residence, etc.).

3. Fill in Personal Information: Include details such as your full name, date of birth, passport number, country of birth, and any other identifying information. This helps IRCC locate your file.

4. Describe Your Issue Clearly: In the message section, explain your query or concern. Mention that you do not yet have an application number, and provide as much context as possible (e.g., date of application submission, location, receipt number if applicable).

5. Attach Supporting Documents (if needed): You may attach any relevant documents that can help IRCC identify your application or support your inquiry.

6. Submit the Form: Once you’ve filled in all the necessary information, submit the form.

Without an application number, the IRCC may take longer to locate your file, but providing as much identifying information as possible will help.

Your application seems to be progressing along a typical timeline, with key milestones reached and no major red flags evident. Having eligibility passed and information sharing completed are both positive indicators. Here’s a quick breakdown of where things stand:
• Criminality in progress and Security not yet started: These are often the steps that can take the longest, as they involve external agencies and detailed background checks. While these stages can sometimes cause delays, they’re not unusual to be pending at this stage of your application. It’s quite common for security checks to be one of the last steps IRCC completes.
Given your progress so far, it seems like your application is on the right track, though it’s good to prepare for the possibility of waiting a bit longer as IRCC completes these checks. However, if criminality and security verifications proceed smoothly, you should be moving closer to the final stages without major issues.

Hello @Miss bee i hope you are doing well. I need some help for below situation.

I have submitted my NON EE Application on august 24 and didn't receive my AOR yet
today I was checking my all submitted forms and documents and i realized that

1.in form IMM 5562 there is only travel history for me Section A and some how section B. for spouse it shows he did not travel but he has quite good travel history and we have submitted as well so my question is should i submit with new filled IMM 5562 via web form ? And how can i do that ?

2. In form IMM 5669 the name field in Native language was Black out so should i submit it again ?

3. I have submitted my original birth certificate translated (to English) from native language by issuing authority with sign and seal of registrar and not a translator ( it's not in both language).
the only issue it has written " true translation from the Gujarati vernacular " Should i submit my birth certificate in native language as well ?

For each of the issues you’ve identified, here’s how you might address them:

1. Travel History (IMM 5562) for Spouse

If your spouse’s travel history was not included in your original IMM 5562 submission, it’s a good idea to correct this. To submit a revised IMM 5562 form:
• Fill out a new IMM 5562 form, ensuring all relevant travel history for both you and your spouse is included.
• Use IRCC’s web form to upload the new form as an “additional document” and explain in the text box that you’re submitting an updated travel history for your spouse.
• In the explanation, clarify that this is to ensure accurate information for their review.

2. Native Language Field (IMM 5669)

For the IMM 5669 form, if the native language name field was inadvertently blacked out, it would be wise to submit a corrected version.

• Complete a new IMM 5669 form with the native language name field filled correctly.

• Use the IRCC web form to submit this updated form, and in your explanation, specify that the previous version had an error in the native language field and that you’re submitting a corrected form to ensure accuracy.

3. Birth Certificate Translation
Since your birth certificate is translated by the issuing authority and not by a certified translator, it may still be acceptable; however, IRCC typically prefers both the original document and the English translation if the translation is not bilingual or not completed by a certified translator.
• To cover all bases, you may submit the original birth certificate in Gujarati along with the translated English version.

Thank you very much for replying back so accurately and quickly.

Now that you have answered all my questions, I want to know if I should submit all the 3 revised documents with the same web form or should I raise separate web form for each?

You can submit with same webform. You can merge all documents into one PDF and attach it but if it’s too large in size , you can submit different webforms.

If your passport and Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP) are expiring in May 2025 and you haven’t received the Acknowledgment of Receipt (AOR) , it’s a good idea to prepare in advance.
1. Renewing Your Passport: It’s generally advisable to renew your passport well in advance of its expiration, especially if it expires within the next six months, as IRCC usually requires a valid passport for the duration of processing. Renewing it now shouldn’t delay the process, but after receiving your AOR, you should inform IRCC about your new passport details to avoid any delays or confusion later on.
2. Renewing Your PGWP: Since PGWPs are generally non-renewable, if your PR application is still pending close to May 2025, you might need to look into options like a Bridging Open Work Permit (BOWP), which allows you to continue working in Canada while waiting for your PR decision. However, the BOWP requires that you have an AOR, so once you receive it, you can apply for the BOWP, if eligible.
• Renew your passport soon and update IRCC after your AOR.
• For your PGWP, look into a BOWP if your PR is still in progress by the time your current permit nears expiry.

I read your response with interest as my PGWP is also expiring Dec 31, 2024 because the validity was restricted due to passport expiry. I renwed passport and applied for PGWP extension. Is that no longer an option? Also I applied online, some commenters on the forum advised applying on paper but others have had theres renew online. I am still awaiting for PGWP renewal, I submitted beginning of July. Should i apply for a BOWP instead?

If your PGWP was initially issued with a shorter validity due to your passport’s expiration, you may indeed be eligible for an extension now that you have a renewed passport. Since you’ve applied online, you’re still following a valid process, and many applicants have successfully received extensions through online applications. IRCC typically advises that either method (online or paper) is valid, though paper applications are sometimes noted to take longer to process.
If your PGWP renewal application is still pending, you can maintain your work status under implied status as long as you applied before your current PGWP expired. This allows you to continue working until you receive a decision.
If IRCC approves your renewal, they should extend your PGWP until the maximum allowable duration (usually up to three years from your initial issuance, depending on your program length). However, if the processing takes longer, you might also consider looking into the Bridging Open Work Permit (BOWP) option, especially if your PR application is still in progress by the end of your PGWP extension. This can ensure continuous work authorization until you receive your PR decision.
