Hello @Miss bee , I recently received my GCMS notes. In my security, it says it has not started and that the Security decision was referred to a cleared officer. All the other portions are completed and passed. Do you know what that means?
When your GCMS notes indicate that your security check has not started and the security decision has been referred to a cleared officer, it generally means the following:
1. Security Check Not Started:
• The security screening is a mandatory step for all applicants and includes assessments by different Canadian agencies (like CBSA and CSIS) to ensure the applicant does not pose a risk to Canada.
• The “not started” status might mean that your security file is still awaiting action, or it has been flagged for further review but hasn’t officially begun processing.

2. Referred to a Cleared Officer:
• A cleared officer is someone authorized to make decisions on files with potential complexities or concerns related to security.
• This referral does not necessarily mean there is an issue with your application. It could simply be a procedural step, especially if there are aspects of your background or travel history that require closer examination.

Hello @Miss bee,

I applied for the BOWP on July5, 2024 with my husband, , and they sent the correspondence letter to both of us on November 14, 2024, stating the biometrics validity. My husband received approval letter on November 15. In my GC key account, I see a date as November 14 beside the Final decision but it says "your application is in progress. We will send you a message once the final decision has been made". What does it mean? My husband was my dependent and he got the approval letter but i have not received approval in my GC key account yet. Do you know what it means? Is there any issue for my application?

When you land in Canada as a permanent resident, your PR card application is typically initiated automatically as part of the landing process at the port of entry (POE). Here’s how it works:

1. At the Port of Entry:

When you land, the immigration officer will confirm your permanent resident status and collect your address in Canada. This is essential for them to process and send your PR card.

2. Providing Your Canadian Address:

If you don’t have a Canadian address ready at the time of landing, you can provide it later using the IRCC web form. It’s crucial to submit this information promptly to avoid delays.

3. Processing Time:
Once your application is processed, your PR card will be mailed to the address you provided. Current processing times for PR cards can be checked on the IRCC website.
4. Important to Note:

• If you don’t provide a Canadian address within 180 days of landing, you’ll need to apply for a new PR card and pay the application fee.
• If there are any errors or delays, you can follow up with IRCC.
Thank you so much

hello @Miss bee,

i have 3 questions

i applied for PR under NON EE PNP (JOFW) on july 29, 2024. My question is it true that since i received nomination under JOFW my file will be processed slower than someone that got nomination under like OINP international graduate stream?

i got my medical done on nov 2023 would those still be valid or do i need to get my medical done again once IRCC tells me to, is there a chance where they might skip it all together? I haven't left canada since 2018

i applied july 29 for my PR but still didnt get AOR is that normal? and how long is the process after recieving AOR and doing Biometrics right away?

thank you so much.

My 2 cents:

1. Non-EE PR applications are all processed the same (as far as I know).
2. Not sure.
3. I applied on July 23 and still waiting for AOR (same stream as yours).

Hello @Miss bee,

I have a query regarding my current work situation. I am currently on a Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP) that is set to expire in March 2025, and I have received a nomination from the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (ONIP).

At present, I am employed by two different employers; however, my nomination is for a non-Express Entry application that is specifically tied to one employer.

Could you please confirm if I am allowed to continue working for both employers until my PGWP expires?

Thank you for your assistance. I look forward to your guidance

I submitted medical done in May 2022 and it was considered valid. Also one of my friend submitted medical done in 2021 and he is waiting for ecopr.

All applications are processed according to same timeline however there may be certain factors that may slower your application lots of travel history and other stuff or security checks .

You can use same medical exam you did last year. It’s still valid.

Currently AOR times is 3-5 months. You should call them or send them webform for Temporary file number.

thank you so much.

For IMM 5669 (Schedule A – Background/Declaration), the signatures required depend on who the applicant is and who is completing the form:
1. For the Principal Applicant (you):
• You must sign your own copy of IMM 5669 to confirm the accuracy of the information provided.

2. For the Dependent (your spouse):

• If your spouse is an accompanying dependent (part of the application), they must complete and sign their own copy of IMM 5669.
Key Points:
• Each applicant or dependent (18 years or older) must complete and sign their individual copy of IMM 5669.
• You cannot sign your spouse’s copy, and your spouse cannot sign yours.
Thanks lot for clarifying confusion.

Hello @Miss bee

I applied for PR through Non-EE PNP in Feb 2024. Medical marked completed in August 2024 along with ADR for letter of employment which was provided to IRCC and they confirmed. Security is "not started" under background check (other parts of it are completed). I believe no has touched my file since Aug 2024. Do know what can be the next steps? Is there anything I can provide to them to trigger someone to start looking at it? My ADR was from Etobicoke Office. Anyone with similar timelines?

I applied on July 30 and I think we are more or less on the same boat.

I hope we can receive the AOR at the beginning of next month
