Hi, I have a question on photo request in P2. What is the requirement for that photo? What is the difference between the photo request when we applied in the GC account? Can we use the previous photo we used for the application?
Thanks!

Hey @Miss bee, I received my BIL and below Letter :

Employment records: An original and recent letter of employment
indicating the start date, annual or hourly rate of pay, regular hours per
week and recent paystubs .This must be received at this office by:
2024/11/26.

I have 3follow up questions on this letter :
  • Do I just need to submit current Employment Letter or all pastEmployment Letters(Because in GCKey it says all past employment letters) along with paystubs ?
    • What if some Employment letters takes more than due date ?
  • Do I need to include all in one document ?
  • How to upload that documents (In GCKey portal or via Webform) ?

@Miss bee Hello there, I was reading everything about PR, and I submitted my application last month. It seems like tons of applications are stuck in security check and could last from 6 months to more than a year. I wonder why that would happen. In my case, I was previously removed from Canada because I was rejected a chance for a refugee claim. Fast forward today, I successfully managed to come back to Canada for studies with an ARC application.

Would my previous record impact my PR applications, even though my PGWP and TRV applications have been within the time limit so far?

Hello everyone! I subbmitted my documents March 12, 2024, received AOR in June and already submitted BIO and additional documents, and probably not need medical exam (my timeline in signature). But there is some problem with my case and I can't track it on the site and can't attach application to GCKey account (tracker and GCKey said that application not found). Probably it's because my attorneys submitted application.
The only possible way to track application is to call to IRCC hotline 888-242-2100 and get a response from the bot.
@Miss bee, I would be very grateful if you could tell me - bot answers now that "We are reviewing whether you meet the eligibility requirements", and medical\bio\documents\interview are not needed. What status is it and when do you think we should expect changes? I'm Inland PNP. Thank you!

Based on the information you’ve provided, here’s an overview of your situation and some insight into what might be happening:
1. “We are reviewing whether you meet the eligibility requirements”:
This means your application is in the eligibility review stage. IRCC is currently evaluating whether you meet the criteria for the program under which you applied. Since you’re an Inland PNP applicant, they’re reviewing factors like your nomination, job offer (if applicable), and compliance with the program’s specific conditions.
2. GCKey/Tracker Issues:
It’s common for individuals whose applications are submitted via representatives (e.g., attorneys) to face difficulties linking their applications to their GCKey accounts or tracker. This happens because some information might not perfectly match what the system requires, or because access is restricted due to the representative being the primary contact. Unfortunately, until your representative shares updates with you or you receive emails from IRCC directly, the hotline bot is your best tracking option.
3. Next Steps/Timelines:
• Inland PNP applications typically take around 10-12 months from submission to finalization, though timelines can vary.
• Since you received your AOR in June 2024, you’re about 5 months into the process.
• Eligibility review can take several weeks to months, depending on the complexity of your file and IRCC’s processing speed.
• The next major update might be Background Check in Progress or Final Decision (if eligibility, security, and admissibility are cleared without additional steps)

4. No Medicals/Biometrics Needed:
If the bot confirms that no further action is required for medicals, biometrics, documents, or interviews, that’s a good sign that you’ve cleared those stages.

What You Can Do:
• Contact Your Attorney: Ensure they are actively monitoring your file for updates, as representatives often receive direct communication from IRCC.
• Call IRCC Directly: If you’d like more clarity, you can speak to an agent during business hours (8 AM–4 PM local time) by following the prompts after calling the hotline.

• Remain Patient: It’s common for applications to remain in “eligibility review” for weeks or even months without visible updates. If there’s no request for further information or documents, it usually means things are proceeding as expected.

Your previous immigration history, particularly the removal from Canada and the subsequent Authorization to Return to Canada (ARC), could indeed impact the processing of your PR application, but it doesn’t necessarily mean your application will be refused.

1. Security and Admissibility Checks
• The security check is one of the mandatory steps for all PR applicants. It involves screening for criminal, security, or other inadmissibility issues under Canadian immigration law. Since you were previously removed from Canada, your file may be flagged for a more thorough review to ensure compliance with all requirements.
• The fact that you successfully obtained an ARC, a PGWP, and a TRV demonstrates that Canada has already assessed and cleared you for these permits, which is a positive indicator. However, PR applications undergo stricter scrutiny, especially concerning admissibility.

2. Previous Removal from Canada
• Your removal order could impact your PR application if IRCC identifies lingering concerns (e.g., questions about your intentions, the circumstances of your removal, or any perceived non-compliance with immigration laws in the past).
• Since you successfully returned to Canada with an ARC, this indicates that IRCC has already deemed you rehabilitated or admissible for re-entry, which may mitigate the impact of your removal on your PR application.

3. Security Check Delays

Security checks can take longer for certain applicants for various reasons, including

• Previous removal orders.
• Travel history, particularly to countries with heightened security concerns.
• Cases requiring input from multiple agencies or foreign governments.
• The volume of applications under review at the time.

While delays in security checks are frustrating, they do not automatically indicate problems with your application.

4. Impact on PR Application

• Your previous removal and subsequent ARC will be reviewed, but if there are no new concerns or breaches, it should not result in a refusal.
• The success of your PGWP and TRV applications suggests that IRCC has already acknowledged your adherence to Canadian immigration laws since your return. This should work in your favor.

Here’s a detailed response to your questions regarding the employment records request:
1. Do I need to submit only the current employment letter or all past employment letters?
Since the letter explicitly requests an “original and recent letter of employment” along with paystubs, you should focus on your current employer unless:

• GCKey specifically says “all past employment letters” (as you mentioned). In this case, you should also include letters for previous jobs.

• If you’re uncertain, err on the side of caution and provide both your current and past employment details.
If obtaining some past employment letters by the due date is difficult:
• Submit what you have before the deadline.
• Attach a letter of explanation (LOE) stating the reason for any missing documents and your efforts to obtain them. IRCC generally allows some flexibility as long as you explain your situation clearly.

2. Do I need to include all documents in one file?
• Yes, IRCC prefers one consolidated PDF document containing:
• The requested employment letters (current and past, if applicable).
• Paystubs (recent ones for your current job, and if possible, for past jobs too).
• An LOE, if applicable.
• Start with your current employment letter and recent paystubs.
• Follow with past employment letters (in chronological order).
• Include the LOE at the beginning or end of the file, if necessary.
3. How do I upload the documents (GCKey or Webform)?
• If the request was made via GCKey:
• Log into your GCKey account.
• Go to the document upload section.

• Find the placeholder for “Employment Records” and upload your consolidated PDF.

• If there’s no placeholder in GCKey, you can upload the documents via the IRCC Webform:

• Select “Permanent Residence Application” as the type of application.

• Provide your application number and explain the reason for your upload (e.g., responding to a request for employment records).
• Attach your consolidated PDF and submit.

Hello @Miss bee

I applied for PR through Non-EE PNP in Feb 2024. Medical marked completed in August 2024 along with ADR for letter of employment which was provided to IRCC and they confirmed. Security is "not started" under background check (other parts of it are completed). I believe no has touched my file since Aug 2024. Do know what can be the next steps? Is there anything I can provide to them to trigger someone to start looking at it? My ADR was from Etobicoke Office. Anyone with similar timelines?
I have same situation. No update after ADR submission since September. Etobicoke Office.
