Current processing times are (estimates):
AOR: 4-5 months
Work permits: 5-6 months

So you're kinda still within those time frames. I submitted my PR application on July 23 and my (closed) work permit application on Sep 24, haven't received news from either of them.

Hi @Miss bee

Hope you are doing good

I have received my PCC but main applicant my wife PCC is under process still

So can i submit my PCC ? Or should i wait to get main applicant PCC and then submit together hopefully she will get soon in this week,

1. Also like how we can submit like through webform or do they gave any option for uploading in portal please let me know what to do in this and they gave us around 60 days to submit the ADR and we received request for ADR on 29th October.

2. Also i did my upfront medical on 23 August 2024 so again i send a 2nd webform on 19th November with main applicant and dependents Attched E-sheets with UMI numbers but as you know i have already received a new request of medical on 12 November and they gave 30 days.

Please help for the above questions

Thankyou
1. PCC Submission: It is generally advisable to submit all PCCs together, especially since the main applicant (your wife) is the primary focus of the application. If her PCC is expected to arrive soon, it would be better to wait and submit both together to avoid confusion or delays. However, if there is any unforeseen delay, you can submit your PCC first and provide an explanation for her pending PCC using a webform or through the IRCC portal. For submitting documents, IRCC often allows uploading through their portal when you receive an ADR (Additional Document Request). If this is not available, the webform is a reliable option for submission. Ensure you include your acknowledgment letter and a clear explanation to link the document with your file.

2. Medical Request: Since you already completed your upfront medicals on August 23, 2024, and have submitted the medical e-sheets via a webform on November 19, IRCC may take some time to update your file. However, since you have received a fresh medical request on November 12 with a 30-day deadline, it’s crucial to follow up. You can reply to the medical request through a webform or the IRCC portal, attaching the previously submitted e-sheets again and referencing the UMI numbers. Include a clear explanation that your medicals were completed upfront and already submitted. IRCC may reconcile this information in their system, but adhering to their deadlines is critical to avoid complications.

A Pre-Arrival Services Letter from IRCC (Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada) means that your immigration application has reached a positive stage, and you are eligible to access pre-arrival services to help you settle in Canada. These services are designed to assist you with integrating into Canadian society by providing information about:
• Employment opportunities and the Canadian labor market.
• Housing, education, and healthcare in Canada.
• Community resources and supports.
• Language training and skills upgrading.
Although receiving this letter is a positive sign, it does not guarantee final approval of your application. IRCC typically sends this letter to applicants who have met most eligibility requirements, and their application is in the later stages of processing.

Reactions: Canada Process
Hi!

I was asked to provide my updated CV and military record in September. I did right away.

Now I received an update (after 40 days roughly):

Activity status updated: Background verification
Background verification
Background verification status has been updated to In progress.

I wonder what does it mean? Is it that my background has started a new phase? And how much longer would it take? (Having said, the expected waiting time has already passed)

Good day everyone. I have applied in July and still awaiting for my AOR.
My work permit is set to expire in December 2025 due to passport expiry.
Now, considering my current application for permanent residency, when would be the earliest time I could work on my passport renewal? BLS website says I cant renew unless until 1 year remaining to the expiry date?
Even if I plan to send my original passport to BLS in this December 2024 for renewal process, would my original passport be needed for my current PR application after AOR? Please guide, Thanks!

No , you don’t need passport after you apply PR application. Apply Passport renewal asap when 12 months remaining. Now BLS is taking 1-3 months for renewal. Once you get new passport, send copy of new passport through webform and update CIC.

indicating the start date, annual or hourly rate of pay, regular hours per

    • What if some Employment letters takes more than due date ?
  • Do I need to include all in one document ?
  • How to upload that documents (In GCKey portal or via Webform) ?
What stream u applied for?

Hello @Miss bee

I finally received my AOR today after submitting my application on July 5th. At the time of submission, I thought my previous biometrics for temporary resident status would apply to this application. However, I later realized a separate biometric fee was required. Following your guidance, I paid the fee and submitted the receipt via the IRCC webform on September 24, 2024. But I’ve recently received instructions requesting biometric fee payment again, so I’ve raised another webform to resubmit the receipt.

Additionally, I received an email from IRCC to link my application within 7 days, which I did through my GC Key account. However, in that application, the biometric information from my temporary resident status is still reflecting. I’m now unsure whether I need to submit biometrics again.

If I do need to submit biometrics, do you have any idea how long it will take to receive the Biometric Instruction Letter (BIL)?

Also, after linking my application to my GC Key, I checked the submitted documents. There were no additional requirements, but there was a button to submit and transmit. After completing this action, the application status changed to “submitted.” Is this the correct process?

Thanks in advance for your help!

You need to give biometrics again. If you already paid fees and sent webform for fees receipt, just wait for few more days . Once officer working on your application check that , you will get BIL . This process can take few more weeks . If there is no separate column for biometrics fees receipt, then send it through webform .
