Hi, mine's still says "Provided" though my Background check changed form "Not Started" to "In Progress" I think sometimes they Don't update mycic, though they received the docs you uploaded/submitted.

Hi, when did you notice your BC changed to in progress? I sent our additional doc request thru their email. How would i know they actually received it? Is it thru their automated reply saying confirmation receipt of email?

Hi, they requested for my Advisory on Marriage (not orig) last Jan 30, 2017 . What I did was, I submitted my AOM on Jan 31 through email and I received autor reply from them, and then I also uploaded my AOM into mycic/gckey account, the moment I uploaded my AOM it changed to Provided under Submitted Documents. And On feb 28, When I check my gckey/mycic acct I saw that my BC is now In progress.

Yay! After DM last March 2, finally heard from MVO! My hubby in Montreal didn't manage to pick up their call twice earlier and so they sent an e-mail asking if I will be able to arrive in Canada before my visa expires on 04/15/2017 as my medical expires by then. I guess this is an urgent PPR then!

If you did not upload the document via myCIC, it won't change to provided.

Don't worry, as long as you received the auto-reply, you're fine. But if you want to make sure they got it, you can email MVO to confirm receipt of your document. They may or may not reply, though.

We received an automated reply last friday, it said "we confirm receipt of your email to mvo." and another email today, it said "Dear Sir/Madam..........(on the second paragraph where it said " If you have sent us this email to report important changes regarding your app, we will add this info to your file. This email serves as your confirmation of receipt for these docs. Please be assured that this info will be brought to the attn of the appro. authority."

Oh, you sent ur docs twice. Bec on the email we rcvd from them, they asked us to submit the doc to one method only to avoid delay of the app process. I was planning to upload it on the acct as well, but im hesitant bec i already sent thru email.

Thanks. In the e-mail they asked for my reply within 5 days. So I guess I will yet to receive another proper PPR email once they receive my confirmation that I can leave before 04/15..

For peace of mind, you can upload it too. But as they say, if you don't want any delay, upload by one method only. I'm pretty positive that sending the doc via email is good enough.
