Yes you need to update spouse name on your Wife's passport, i have also reissued my passport mentioning my spouse name.

It is mandatory for her to mention the spouse name on her passport because she is primary applicant and you are sponsoring her, not required for you to update her name on your passport.

Passport is a travel document, not a marriage certificate. Not mandatory to get updated passports.

It's not mandatory anywhere by Canadian immigration just attach the updated other documents with spouse name on them

Oh my mistake. Actually my consultant asked me to amend spouse name so after arranging all the documents i did apply for the passport again, by which the submission of application was delayed by 1 month.

But "mandatory" is not a right word.

You should have your police check ready to go I believe they want it in the beginning now but when I submitted it in the my app back in March they wanted it later. Plus when they do ask for it you only have a month time to send it to them

After one month of interview GC key still shows status you need an interview.
