Hi Rainasar,
My wife is 25th Feb applicant and last GCMS notes we order was on 21st Sep which we got on 20th Oct and as per that nothing has started.
However we received additional document request on 17th Oct 2016. Meaning they just touched our file for very first time for assessment.
Which I think is good sign. In your case if all document is proper and there is no need to ADR, there will not be any communication.
I think you should continue ordering GCMS once a month so monitor if there is any issue in file.
We should not forget that official timeline is 18 months for processing at India.
Thanks & Regards,

hi Jul2014,
Its good to hear that they are starting to touch the files they left behind in January and Feb. I took advice from someone in the forum and recently mailed pics from a recent visit, call logs, and Western Union money transfers to NDVO. Let me tell you Shipping from Canada is costly. I am not sure if that was a good idea or not but I was tired of seeing nothing happening and I didn't want NDVO to read the file in a few months and then do an ADR or an Interview because they weren't sure if I kept in contact with my wife. If you have got ADR then make sure you send everything. Make it out to explain what you have been upto since you filed. All chat and Skype logs, Pics if you have been back recently and def summarize your trip, boarding passes, entry and exit stamps. where you went and what you did. If you have sent her money then receipts include that as well. Hopefully they start your Background soon...
Lastly I know the official timeline is 18 months but CIC has gotten their priorities backwards. Syrian Refugees sitting in UN camps in Germany can come to Canada within 6 months with very little eligibility and background verification. Like please tell me who will verify their documents, The corrupt Syrian Government? who NATO is actively fighting.
Express entry, which is essentially the same procedure as Spousal Visa, can get PR within 6 months. Why do we have to wait 18 months. In which time you are only allowed to see your partner no longer than 3 months at a time otherwise you are not residing in Canada. It seems that the rules only apply to law abiding, Tax paying average Canadians.
