Hello Guys,

I would like to share my time line so far:-

Application Received: 30-Aug-2016
AOR1: 27-Sep-2016
SA: 18-Oct-2016
AOR2: Waiting

I do have a concern at the moment, and my concern is this:-

My application has been transferred to New Delhi office for further processing based on my nationality, even though i do not live in India. The only thing that connects me to India is my Passport. All the supporting Documents for back ground check like police report, medicals, bank details, birth certificate are all from Dubai. I expected CPC-Mississauga to send it to Abu Dhabi office, but the letter reads New Delhi.

Is there something i need to be concerned about?

It depends on which country the principal applicant is a citizen of.. are you the principal applicant?

Hi cookie 90 looks like we both are in same boat . I am April 20 th applicant. My wife is Indian born and working in Dubai and I applied everything to abudhabi visa office but the reason they transferred my file to ndvo is my wife born in India and holding Indian passport. And I don't see any improvements in the file still now. Let's wait and see

Going through the same situation.
My husband is born in India but living in New Zealand for the past 6 years. But the file still went to NDVO due to him having an Indian passport. I hope this doesn't delay our file...

Hi all, any may 2016 applicant got PPR?? . mine is still in process. I applied on 27 may got AOR1 on 16 Jun. On 8 Aug they started processing my file in NDVO. I have already sent medical upfront. No update at all till now... it's very frustrating...

As per the forum I don't think any may applicants from NDVO received any ppr or background check in process. Yes this is a real pain in the ass.

I think it depends upon the officer that how much file he is having...

But after AOR 2 file is in process... :'(

Noone can predict that but as per the trend it is between 8-10 mobths in general but some lucky ones have got ppr as short as in 3 months..

Lastly I know the official timeline is 18 months but CIC has gotten their priorities backwards. Syrian Refugees sitting in UN camps in Germany can come to Canada within 6 months with very little eligibility and background verification. Like please tell me who will verify their documents, The corrupt Syrian Government? who NATO is actively fighting.

Actually the official estimated time by CIC is 13 Months. This is because if the sponsor is INSIDE Canda, and not living in India with the applicant, then the application was submitted IN CANDA, not India (because it's the sponsor who submits the application in entirety and not the applicant. Also, the specific office no longer matters as the applications can be moved around the global network now, to help expedite processing, in an ideal world). So when you go to the estimate page its asking the SPONSOR the questions: Who did you sponsor (family class, spouse living OUTSIDE CANADA) and where did YOU (the sponsor) apply (IN CANADA). The estimate is 13 months, not 18. It takes longer if the sponsor is also living in India outside Canada, because then the sponsor's application also has to be processed through the ridiculously slow NDVO (Canadian Consulate in India) instead of through Case Processing Centre in Ontario.

15 January applicant here, with absolutely NO update since 21 March when NDVO received my husband's application. I got SA 12 March. The file has not been touched at all since NDVO got it. I guess they figure people who applied in March and April are in more of a hurry to get theirs so they have been ignoring Jan-Feb applicants. (sarcasm, but not really).
