Does processing of file depends on your educational background or you job category?

Looks like the wait is too long. Just came to know that NDVO is processing July'13 applications.

Hi ,
I applied for my husband on 6 th jan 2014 , recieved AOR 7 feb 2014 and application sent to New delhi on 19 feb 2014 . I am 17 weeks pregnant & i need to send my doctors letter proving my pregnancy to immigration ... Should i write a personal letter ? If yes what should i write down in that letter?

A friend applied in July and has got her visa yesterday. That's how i figured out.

Hello Rash04,

I personally know couple of people who had a shorter wait period(than 8 months) from New Delhi. So there is something to look forward to. I understand waiting is the toughest period during the PR process.

I am sure this wont help. But, many people have suggested, it is better to think the wait is for 12 months, than estimate it short and be frustrated with it.

Good Luck to you!
Warm Regards
KanSri
Thanks for encouraging Kan_sri, even I know a couple who got there Visa within 8 months. Fingers crossed and hoping for the best of all of us. Hope the Bangalore counselate do some magic.

Do you mean to ask if you are in a certain job category then they process your application first? If thats what you asking then no I do not think the processing of the file depends on the educational background or job category. I think its more on a first come first serve basis, most of the times. If you apply in Feb and I have applied in Jan then they will process my application before you. I guess it is the only way to be fair. Then depending on your situation and case if I am missing something then I might get visa later then you, due to my fault obviously, so make sure before sending all your stuff you follow their documents checklists. Hope that answers your question. :)

Hey everyone,

It seems like everyone is getting upset about the NDVO still working on July'13 applications. One thing I have noticed about the NDVO is that they do not follow any consistent pattern of processing. Plus it all varies according to individual cases. You could be right about them still processing July'13 applications, but then again if they have another consulate in Bangalore I think they are trying their level best to recover the time they lost during the strike last year, so I think we need to not worry. Also people who applied in 2013 I know many cases that were cleared within 6-8 months. I think it all depends on the officers really...so lets not think and worry too much. Thinking about it will only make the waiting worse and time go slower then it already is for all of us...so just keep yourselves busy with daily routines and 6-8 months will fly by within a blink of an eye... :)

If you are sending a doctors note make sure it is types and not hand written, to make it more official. I think you should write a personal letter and on it you should put what the doctor’s note is about and a request to the officer to process your application fast because it is your first baby (I believe) and that you want you husband to be present as that moment only comes once in a life time. Maybe you should also input your approximate delivery date. Hopefully that will melt the officer and they will think of processing your application faster. I believe this will help because it might get them to work on your application faster. Wish you luck and god bless you...hope your husband is present during the special day :)

Hello Everyone..

I am a newcomer and just joined in to this interesting forum. I really learned a lot about the spouse application and follow on procedures. I would like to draw your attention to the situation that occurred to me during the application time. At first I did not submitted the upfront medical for spouse and kid at the time of initial application because of some confusion that they will (CPC-M or NDVO) ask for it at a later time. But i received a call from officer at CPC_m asking to have upfront medical done and have it sent to them before any decision made on my application. She also said that ask my wife to FAX the medicals directly to CPC-M office number which she provided me. following this instruction, my wife faxed the medicals CPC-M directly and mailed the original medical to me. I waited almost 3 weeks to hear anything from CPC-M until i called them and learned that they didn't received fax or medicals. Since there was a mail delay to receive the original medicals, the Officer from CPC-M asked me to send the scanned copies of the medical to go ahead with my application. Right away, I have sent the scanned copy of the medicals through the email provided by her and very next day I received an email from CPC-M that decision was made on my application to sponsor my wife and kid and its been approved and file transferred to Newdelhi Office.

Now the situation is.. I have received the original medical notification sheets by mail for my wife and kid. and 29 Jan 2014 was day since I heard from CPC_M or NDVO on application. I am just wondering if anyone on this forum had similar experience like i did and what expect next ? Please share your experience and information... Looking forward to hear from you.

Thanks so much..

Thanks so much

Yup.. the wait is indeed long... because we are living apart from our spouses. So staying apart a month will still seem like a long time, just like staying apart for a year or more. But no matter how long it seems, we have to believe that we will be with our spouses in the end and all the waiting was worth it in the end as it helped strengthen our relationships and that we also made many new friends along the way through this forum.

Only one July applicant got visa. The trend I have been noticing that NDVO gives one or two people the visa from the new month, and then they actually start processing that month's applicants about two weeks later. So now the one July applicant got her visa... the rest of us will be waiting about 1 to 2 weeks for any news. This is because NDVO hasn't finished June applicants yet and they will be simultaneously work on the June applications.

Congratulations that you are expecting and will be parents soon :D :D :D :D. Its too bad that your husband is not with you to share the joys of bringing new life into this world.
As you are the sponsor, it does not affect the immigration process. If you were the applicant and pregnant, then you would also have had to apply for immigration for your child. Unfortunately, NDVO does not care to process applications faster because you are pregnant. It does not matter if you are the applicant or sponsor, just like it doesn't matter if the sponsor is Canadian citizen or PR. They somewhat work using a first come first serve basis but add a bit of randomness into it. (I say this because there are a few 2013 applicants who were pregnant and they also had to wait their turn to be reunited with their husbands. In one case of PR parents, the wife had her baby in India and cannot come back to Canada for the last year as the baby needs to go through the immigration process of 12 months and counting)

Since they are working on June applications and the backlogs created from the 6 months of strike last year, I don't think that they will even be done processing close to Jan 2014 applications. You might have to join your husband after your baby is born and wait for him to get the visa.
Also, it wouldn't hurt to let NDVO know that you are pregnant which can add to the genuineness of your relationship. But it will not help in getting your application processed faster.

Good luck and all the best.
