Thanks for encouraging Kan_sri, even I know a couple who got there Visa within 8 months. Fingers crossed and hoping for the best of all of us. Hope the Bangalore counselate do some magic.Kan_Sri said:Hello Rash04,
I personally know couple of people who had a shorter wait period(than 8 months) from New Delhi. So there is something to look forward to. I understand waiting is the toughest period during the PR process.
I am sure this wont help. But, many people have suggested, it is better to think the wait is for 12 months, than estimate it short and be frustrated with it.
Good Luck to you!
Warm Regards

Can someone please add me to the spreadsheet:
App Received: Feb 5th 2014
AOR: Feb 28th, 2014

Hey everyone,rash04 said:Does processing of file depends on your educational background or you job category?
Do you mean to ask if you are in a certain job category then they process your application first? If thats what you asking then no I do not think the processing of the file depends on the educational background or job category. I think its more on a first come first serve basis, most of the times. If you apply in Feb and I have applied in Jan then they will process my application before you. I guess it is the only way to be fair. Then depending on your situation and case if I am missing something then I might get visa later then you, due to my fault obviously, so make sure before sending all your stuff you follow their documents checklists. Hope that answers your question.

I applied for my husband on 6 th jan 2014 , recieved AOR 7 feb 2014 and application sent to New delhi on 19 feb 2014 . I am 17 weeks pregnant & i need to send my doctors letter proving my pregnancy to immigration ... Should i write a personal letter ? If yes what should i write down in that letter?
If you are sending a doctors note make sure it is types and not hand written, to make it more official. I think you should write a personal letter and on it you should put what the doctor’s note is about and a request to the officer to process your application fast because it is your first baby (I believe) and that you want you husband to be present as that moment only comes once in a life time. Maybe you should also input your approximate delivery date. Hopefully that will melt the officer and they will think of processing your application faster. I believe this will help because it might get them to work on your application faster. Wish you luck and god bless you...hope your husband is present during the special day

Yup.. the wait is indeed long... because we are living apart from our spouses. So staying apart a month will still seem like a long time, just like staying apart for a year or more. But no matter how long it seems, we have to believe that we will be with our spouses in the end and all the waiting was worth it in the end as it helped strengthen our relationships and that we also made many new friends along the way through this forum.Kan_Sri said:Thanks to the update from seniors in this forum, as per the New Delhi 2013 applicants, june 17 people are still waiting to hear back. not sure if they have started July'13 yet.
This is a long wait indeed....
