Hey guys...today im feeling really down and sad and i hope the news that I heard today is not true....
My MP in Mississauga return my call from couple weeks ago and i asked him basic questions like since im an Afghan applicant and i applied in September 2013 and at that time my file was sent to Islamabad visa office and in Jan 2014 it got transferred to NDVO, so i asked him if Delhi processing times (12 months) would apply to my case or Islamabads....he very coldly and vaguely said that
The timeline of Islamabad would apply (32 months) i was shocked to hear that and didnt even bother asking him other questions cuz my mood went off and didnt wanted to talk cuz that was ridiculous and i hope its not true...he seemed like he wasnt sure either, he just bs there....

Finally for me things are moving as of now and I have cleared stage 1 of my process..I have been declared to be eligible to sponsor my spouse....now the real waiting begins, but something is better then nothing...
@ afghanboy have faith in god...I totally understand how you are felling because I have spent the past 1 n half year away from my husband as well and still have hopefully 6 months to go away from him...also if the person on the phone wasnt sure you never know he could be wrong...and lets hope that he is wrong...The way I spent these 1 n half year apart from him is by keeping myself really busy...

Guys i am also planing to file my case in March 2014, could anyone pls help to find out the approved translator recognized by the MICC for my marriage certificate in Hindi. Is there any recognize translator works from Delhi.

That is too sad to hear. But don't be upset. The MPs usually care about where they are going to get their next paycheck from and don't necessarily know about the immigration laws and rules.
Call the 1-888-242-2100 number for CIC-M and ask them. Maybe they might know better as they are dealing with these things and MP doesn't really deal with it everyday. So don't let your hopes be dashed.

its good to find some info here. I had applied for inland application in canada. and in some confusion when i received visitor record on implied status I left the country thinking , can re-enter later.

now my visitor visa also got refused so i will be applying for family visa from india.
my questions are:
1. How long is police certificate valid for obtained from delhi police ?
1 year from date applied

2. If birth certificate cant be given due some municipality issues what can be done in that case?
not sure about this one but I think it is better to get it, or maybe a citizenship or nationality id card can work

3. Do you submit application in Delhi VFS ?

I think any translator can do it, it just has to also be notarized that the translation is correct by a lawyer, magistrate, etc.

I dont think you should rely on MPs or the information they provide you. When I received news that my file was transferred to New Delhi from Islamabad like yours was I called the call center in Mississauga of the case processing center and they told me that it would now be more accurate to expect the average processing times of NDVO because they will be the ones processing our case.

Dont depress yourself for no reason. I suggest you just hope for the best and stop worrying so much. Just leave it up to God. I wish you all the best.

My application was filed on 3rd DEC. the ones who filed it on 06th, 09th, 04th or even 03rd have got their medical updated on ecas where as mine is still application received. Why are these guys so random?

Thanks for your reply Desi Girl . I am going to apply for visa in mid march now after I receive all my documentation from canada and india.
Have finally withdrawn my inland application in toronto. Got my PCC in delhi in 1 week yay awaiting birth certificate now ..fingers crossed.

I will keep info updated in this forum for my own good and for anyone else who is just struggling like me.

One more thing I like to know is is it feasible to get Medicals done while submitting application ? or get it done after stage 1
And the fees one pays at Delhi Canadian HIgh Commission is it demand draft or cash ?
is it 75 CAD / 500 CAD / 499 Equiv INR which i need to deposit.

When I received news that my file was transferred to New Delhi from Islamabad like yours was I called the call center in Mississauga of the case processing center and they told me that it would now be more accurate to expect the average processing times of NDVO because they will be the ones processing our case.

Dont depress yourself for no reason. I suggest you just hope for the best and stop worrying so much. Just leave it up to God. I wish you all the best.
