I hope your right about the September applicants getting their visa quickly....only thing is ...we have to wait until the rest of you guys get urs before they even open our files! :O .... ;) .....they REALLY need to hire more staff...or atleast offer overtime to their employees so that they can catch up and make up for all the backlog from the months they were on strike last year!!! ......seriously...this time and distance is hurting a lottt of ppl and relationships !! :( ....well..what can we do? ..just keep praying that we all get reunited with our loved ones quickly..!

I dont know....im just soo frusterated with the system..i was born and raised here...law abiding citizen...pay my taxes...everything for all 24 years of my life..and the first time i require a government service like this....and its causing so much distress and patience........we deserve muchhh better than this.... they should show more compassion and trust to us...just open the file...check check check if everything is thre, and issue the passport with visa to the person we chose to marry and spend our life with !!

How hard can it be? ......seriously! : @

Same feelings...

Good point... so if I am a 20th august, in fact I am in the september transfered files... a small month... Where do you see that they take the transferred filed instead of the received filed in the data? If so, we can have hope it will get a little faster...

Its stats categorized by CIC offices receiving number of files in that particular month, so if your file transfer on date 06/09 plus few days to post from Mississauga office that means you fall under September month, One they clear August it should be quicker I reckon if CIC - Delhi wants !!

We never had this attestation, we had an interview, they never ask for that and my hubby got visa last week. So don't worry. The only thing I would say is it might depend of which type of marriage certificate you have. In our case we had the hindu ceremony one but we also went in court to get our marriage register under special marriage act. It is true that Canada are not accepting every types of marriage certificates. But if they called you for interview without asking you previously to present a new marriage certificate I believe you're ok. As they wouldn't approved the sponsor and reach the interview level if they don't consider you officially married. This is my opinion only. Maybe I am wrong but for sure I know that if you are married under special marriage act you don't need an attestation for the interview.

Trying to stay positive my friend, it's harder to do than it sounds, especially when week upon week goes by without any news. Ever since July started I have been hoping to hear some good news. I did MP inquiry 2 weeks back and found out my file has not been touched yet, which really came as a shock, it's still awaiting initial review. This week I was hoping to hear some good news but it appears that nothing is going to come of this week as usual just like the past few weeks. At the beginning of every week I keep thinking to myself "this is the week", but am hit with disappointment :(

It is the same story for me..

I changed my home page to E-CAS .. So I can check status everytime I am on the computer but that just stresses me out even more...

No NEWS YET!!! Who knows when will the good news come..
