correction...US is an exception. U need transit visa there. Travel agent knows better. So consult them

I think last I know Australia also you need a trasit visa if you have an indian passport......for Europe if you are having more than 2 hops in Europe you will be not allowed as then you need a transit visa.....this has been told by my travel agent when I had last gone to India and through I might have to get my wife....I was having 2 hops in Europe (london and munich) which the travel agent said then my wife will not be able to come with me.....
so I think the travel agent usually have a good idea but in your case it will be fine.....

of course if you are transiting any other place you will not be allowed to leave the airport....even with a transit visa you cannot go out of the airport...

Application was received by cic on may 27 2013
Medical was done before that because i had to submit the medical acknowledgement slip along with the other docs...sponsorship was approved in june 2013 within 20 days that was awesome...after that in july first week they asked for my original passport which i submitted in july itself received a mail from them acknowledging that my passport has Reached them ....then after a long wait finally on dec 4 2013 the status was in process n they started processing my application... Medical results have been received on 17 dec 2013...thats all

Now im currently waiting for january first week and im sure if i wouldn't receive my passport by the first week...i will be hopeless :/

i never heard of them acknowledging the passport delivery....if they sent you mail then you are the luckiest person on this planet ;D ;D

Oh Thanks Buggi but British Airline said she may require & told me to confirm from UK-Visa Facilitation Service Deptt.(VFS)...

Do you have past experience i.e. Any travel Via UK ??? If yes then I will be tension free...

there is no need to get transit visa if anyone travel from canada to india or viceversa via uk and germany...so don't worry at all.....

we must encourage good behaviors such as acknowledging receipt of passport from ND visa office (they deserve an award for doing beyond their normal duties of calling to confirm address to mail passports; calling sponsored persons to mail his/her passport; changing status in ecas). I wish to send them chocolates (coated with laxatives) since I cannot afford to send bronze statues.

I have also applied for my wife on 5th April 2013 and delhi office requested for passport in May end. e-cas shows that they received my file on 5 april, medical received and file in process from 15 oct, 2013. after that my wife got a call from delhi office asking for copy of fee receipt ($1040) which i sent on 1st nov, 2013. after that no communication. I was expecting passport back in Dec with PR... :-(

ANY IDEA....HOW LONG IT WILL TAKE???

Any email or phone number where i can contact them....or can my wife go to delhi office in person...plz respond[/size]

waiting 2 exhale is right nothing u can do now but wait........coz u mail them they don't even respond ....no pt goin to ndvo they don't even entertain u unless u have an appointment........we all are in the same boat......have a look at the excel sheet of ppl waiting in IP....I guess most of us will get our visa's only in jan now..........they wasted the whole of nov and dec sleeping eating and partying

Hi... Today iwas just checking my documents and saw that the name of my husband on the joint account bank copy is written satnam singh instead of his orignal name .... When icalled the bank ... They ve the real name saved in the computer is correct...
Is it going to ruin my case ???
My file is in process since 19 th november
