There is no transit visa required if you have connected flight via germany, france or UK . Transit visa required only if you travelling via USA.

Thanks kMartin, But why airline guys said U may Require Transit Visa & make us tensed. I am calling UK-VFS deptt. from morning but unable to connect with their Customer support executive... then dropped 1-mail itself but didn't got any reply so far. That's the reason I am worrying about it. But your replies supporting me. Thanks

Bro. Just make sure that there will be only change of plane, No Airport Change, If there is need to airport change then may b required. also may i which airline you booked?

Thanks Anupam, Actually her flight is CANADA(Montreal)-UK(Heathrow)-India(Delhi) & Return also same i.e. DEL-LHR-YUL.

So what U think now???

you do not need a transit visa then for this flight....dont know whats wrong with BA....when I had a indian passport and pr i went through delhi frankfurt and toronto and was with Lufthansa and I did not need any transit visa....

many many years ago when I had Indian passport, I had to go to the U.S. via London airport. My layover was about 5 hours. I did not go out of airport and I did not need a visa then. My impression was if one did not have to leave the airport, one does not transit visa. Rules might have changed since then.

Its Christmas time for them ....they too busy drinking and making merry ..... I would definitely vote for the worst organization.....

Hello all, Its urgent:

My wife coming to India & she has connecting flight from London.

So I need to knw whether Transit Visa required for London connecting flight??? Moreover she has Canadian PR & Indian Passport.

Please reply if any1 have exp. of it.

as per my last information, PR or NON-PR, its same for all, transit visa is not needed for connecting flights.
i came via heathrow early this year, did not need transit visa, no matter how many stops/countries your flight stops en route, you do not need visa if you do not leave the airport, i had same experience for amsterdam and zurich, the passenger area of any international airport is considered international travel zone so no visa is needed for flight change or stop-over of few hours,( i m not sure of much longer stopover periods/ like days), and one more thing that i found out... at heathrow there are very good large sofa seats near terminal A7 with play area for children, anyone who has more than 2-3 hours stay can go and have a comfortable rest/short nap there.. hope i was helpful.. god bless.

correction...US is an exception. U need transit visa there. Travel agent knows better. So consult them
