Thanks Anupam, Actually her flight is CANADA(Montreal)-UK(Heathrow)-India(Delhi) & Return also same i.e. DEL-LHR-YUL.anupam said:Can you let me know the route? indian passport holders neeed a transit if you are having 2 connections in Europe like you can go from delhi to london and then Canada without any transit visa but if you have your flight from delhi - london - frannkfurt - canada then you need a transit visa.
There is no transit visa required if you have connected flight via germany, france or UK . Transit visa required only if you travelling via USA.Deep Singh said:Oh Thanks Buggi but British Airline said she may require & told me to confirm from UK-Visa Facilitation Service Deptt.(VFS)...
Do you have past experience i.e. Any travel Via UK ??? If yes then I will be tension free...

Thanks kMartin, But why airline guys said U may Require Transit Visa & make us tensed. I am calling UK-VFS deptt. from morning but unable to connect with their Customer support executive... then dropped 1-mail itself but didn't got any reply so far. That's the reason I am worrying about it. But your replies supporting me. Thankskmartin said:There is no transit visa required if you have connected flight via germany, france or UK . you do not need a transit visa then for this flight....dont know whats wrong with BA....when I had a indian passport and pr i went through delhi frankfurt and toronto and was with Lufthansa and I did not need any transit visa....Deep Singh said:Thanks Anupam, Actually her flight is CANADA(Montreal)-UK(Heathrow)-India(Delhi) & Return also same i.e. DEL-LHR-YUL.
So what U think now???
many many years ago when I had Indian passport, I had to go to the U.S. via London airport. My layover was about 5 hours. I did not go out of airport and I did not need a visa then. My impression was if one did not have to leave the airport, one does not transit visa. Rules might have changed since then.anupam said:you do not need a transit visa then for this flight....dont know whats wrong with BA....when I had a indian passport and pr i went through delhi frankfurt and toronto and was with Lufthansa and I did not need any transit visa....
