I hope that some day CIC visa officers will look at all these forums and see that how eager are we all to reunite with our spouse and other family members with a hope that they can process our applications as fast as possible.

CIC.....please hire more visa officers... :)

Yea, I think they would be aware of these forums,,and would be reading them just for fun...:P
As they know they are in control... 8)

I think India CIC is closed on Wednesday April 24 :( will be no updates.

Processing time depend on every individual case but usually I have seen people applying in January 2013 getting Passports stamped in April. So just wait and I also dont think that any plea to the NDVO would change the processing time..As everyone who applied in this category has the same hardship to go through. And TRV application won't affect ur PR application in my opinion...

Is there any proof for people who applied in January 2013 got their visa stamped in April.
I am in a similar state would be very happy if its true
Thank you

Ha ha .. there are a lot of sweat and tears behind a super-fast application :) Statistically speaking we are a tail case (on the fringes / 1%tile) - look at the ND 2012 sheet for average processing times ! Be hopeful, but set hard expectations.. so that when they are met under .. ur happier !

@hm82, is your profile info accurate (mainly gender)? The reason I ask is because this is probably another case I have seen where an application from a female sponsor went through much quicker than a male sponsor (provided application is complete). Just asking out of curiosity because there was a topic few weeks ago about marriage fraud and I had commented about how most cases seem to be men running off after landing. Yet there seems to be faster turnover for women sponsors.

Anyways, always happy to see people's app go through as quickly as possible, especially NDVO. Grats!

I am a MALE, my wife has originally created this account; but I was the one using it. Changed the profile to reflect info correctly. Our application was pretty comprehensive, well organized and complete - and we would be really surprised if we had gotten an interview .. On the flip side .. it took us quite a while ~2-3 months to prepare the app and another 2-3 months before even starting the app compilation ..because of some complications.

Anyways, as you could imagine, we are quite happy now ! But certainly encourage everyone to give their best shot and send in all docs at once to get the fastest response from visa office ! Am planning to write a long note on our experience - and hopefully give out some do's and don'ts to new applicants.

cheers,
hm82

No, she had briefly traveled on few occasions at the time of application. She didn't ever travel to Canada, though.

I think the same. I do not think that we need to send any educational credentials along with the Spousal application as it is not mentioned in the check-list. If CIC need anything they must have it included in the check-list like other required documents. If at any point they need to know the history, they can ask for it.
I think in the Spousal category, education is not a consideration factor based on which they have to decide if they issue PR to that person or not. It is only valid when u apply under other categories where education is must (or as dependents).

There you will have to provide all details as they are more concerned about any gaps and what that person was doing during those gaps. They also need to check if at any time there was a gap, and that applicant was involved in any job/business or other things which generates income, than he/she is not considered as a dependent.

But for Spousal category this is not relevant at all. Only the personal history is required to check the background. If anything looks suspicious, then CIC will ask for the educational credentials to confirm the details on education.

But if you have sent the educational credentials, there is no harm as they are additional documents. If they want it, they can go through it otherwise providing more information to them doesn't hurt in any way.

Phew!!!! That was a sign of relief James... As i don't remember sending any of the educational documents along with the application... Have submitted only those that have been asked in the checklist...

Thanx for answering and clearing doubt... She just had visitors history for some countries but not a longer stay... Great thanx... :-)

I'm thinking it also depends on the date your medicals are done. Maybe priority is given to people who had their medicals done earlier so that the medical results dont expire. But who knows what the exact procedures are...

Hey hjsj...

Is that true ;)....then i ve done my Medicals on 25th Feb 2013....
Hope everything goes well

Thank u in advance

Hi nikki41300,

I think you are posting in the wrong forum. This forum is only focused on Spousal Applications for New Delhi Office for the year 2013
I would suggest you to find some forums discussing the work permit applications. I would love to answer your query but this forum is not the correct place.

I hope you don't mind

Regards,
James
