Hubby did MP enquiry yesterday n this is what we got in email from delhi office :
After contacting the processing office abroad, we received the following message:



Please be advised that the file is currently awaiting review by a visa officer to determine whether all statutory requirements have been met or not. Following which, the next steps will be determined and communicated to the applicant.

Please guide...

couple of pages ago, someone had similar response from his/her MP except the email said final review..in your case it is just review by a visa officer and your status is 'in process' so I assume that they are waiting for final review to be done and whenever the supreme Ayatollah commander is free they will assign your case to him...

Email received from New delhi March 29, 2014 that they need my husbands Police clearance from New Delhi as he is from Afghanistan but he lives in India. so we submited his PCC on May 2, 2014.
Another email received on June 20, 2014 that they need his police clearance from India. I replyed that we already submitted last month and I also sent a copy of police clearance and delivery tracking number.
Since then we are waiting and waiting no response

These twenty cases cannot be pending for background check only last few may be. All appears to be pending by the scrutiny and final okay by VO which will be DM on his nod. VO is busy with student visa. Yet he has show his performance in spousal cases too. This week we can see I P cases upto July getting DM and next week the remining.

Well we just got what we needed - a request from CIC to send in Kuwait PCC- so we have the request letter now- and the deadline to submit is November 20th 2014- this is the date when our file was transferred to New Delhi, and they have also returned the passport.

So one question: we know that our medical has expired- but they have not send us a medical request yet- as we have our passport can we do a re-medical with the EMI generated with the first medical? and we have our passport now- please advise.....

I am also planning to do a PCC for India again just to be safe- as normally the first PCC submitted is only valid for a year- I do not want to take a chance that they request that again- which will delay our application even further.


Please advise regarding remedial without remedial information and having the passport-- Thank you

Need some input frm u....today my in-laws got a call around 7 in the evening from a guy with English accent (they say "Joe") and he asked about my husband...though my husband is working in Delhi and my in-laws stay in Ambala.. I am worried..as my in-laws just said that he is working in Noida and then he cross-checked the company name and dropped the phone..

The worry part is...the number from which we got the call is very strange...0011151...
has anybody got a call lyk dis....and is this a normal cal....

Please advise...

this is not a call from NDVO...did he ask your in laws the name of the company that your husband works for or he told them the name of the company to confirm if it is right or not? this could be just a telemarketer..NDVO normally calls to verify address to mail the passport or to ask if the sponsored person is ready to fly out in two weeks before the medicals expire. They rarely call to verify company name and address (not sure what they benefit from getting such information because if a sponsored person works or not got nothing to do with visa approval). Besides, 0011151 is not ND visa office number.

unfortunately you need their letter to do remedicals (the second one might have different information even though bar code might be the same)...if any of the forum members had done it without visa office letter, maybe they can help you with the process...unfortunately to do remedicals, letter is more important than passport since you can use any form of identity listed in their letter as a proof of identification instead of passport ...you don't have to do second PCC unless there has been considerable delay (for 2012 applicants many of them had to do PCC again since they had to wait for 2 years because of the strike) and that too you need their letter to do PCC...

Thanks w2e....bt in mid august, I got my GCMS notes....and it was mentioned there that our relationship is genuine and eligibility passed...and they were pending with the security/background checks....

I want to mention here that my husband was in US for 3 years..on work permit....and we submitted the FBI certificate already....i m just thinkin that might be security checks are going on...bcoz 001 is canada/US code....and the guy who called...he himself asked that is my husband working in so and so company....wen my in-laws said ...yes...he just dropped the phn....he started the conversation saying that he is my hubby's friend......also want to mention here that neither me nor my husband provided in-laws landline number anywhere other than the immigration application....and if i think that it is a marketing cal....then the number is on my father-in laws name...guy would have asked abt them....

dats the thing...which is worrying me....advise??

for security checks they don't call you to verify your husband's/your job, how much he/you make, etc....for security checks they basically look for any criminal background in countries where your husband/you (whoever is the applicant) had lived for more than 6 months...besides 115 is area code for some city in the U.K. It is easy to find your father in law's phone number if they have your husband's full name...nothing is private anymore for $50 spent on hiring an investigator, I can tell you what you ate last night and what time you went to bed...many private investigation agencies can easily find out where you were born to what you did yesterday...Relax..you don't have interview; they are satisfied with your relationship proof...it is just matter of time (no idea when you will get your visa) you will get your visa...
