You have an MP (member of parliament) who represents you in the area where you are living in Canada.... yes they have the right to contact ndvo and get information like status of your file....u contact them only if people after u are getting visa's and u have no clue whats happening with your file.....basically the last option is mp coz most of the time they don't help if u are under the processing time that's 12 months for new delhi at present.......Mp is totally free no fee
U can contact your MP in Canada
http://www.parl.gc.ca/.../Hous.../MemberByPostalCode.aspx...
Go to this link type in your postal code.
Once u find your MP u can call them and book an appointment to meet her/him or do it on the phone itself....they will guide u with the process and what forms u have to fill and sign... after all forms signed and given bk to mp then they will email ndvo on your behalf asking for your information on your application ....this is the fastest way to contact NDVO max 1 week ....but frankly u need to have a good mp.........
hope this helps u to understand the procedure and what a MP does
