Hi Guys,

My application was recieved on the 6th of may at Mississagua.

Still havent heard anything from them yet, even though their stage 1 processing time now says 28 days. I'm not able to find any info on e-cas with my husbands UCI number either.

Getting really worked up now...my husband just went back to canada but we had mentioned in our letter to them that he would leave to canada by the end of may. Dont know if that was a red flag for them or they have just misplaced our file :o

Should i have my husband call them up to check on our application...atleast then they'll know hes back..if that was a point of concern.

Suggestions pls!!! This seems a lot harder than i thought it would :(
Hi If your husband is a citizen of Canada, he can apply while being out of Canada but if he's a P.R. he has to be physically present to apply..so that could have been a reason...but since u sent the file on 6 may u will get an e-mail around 5-6 june if they accepted ur file on May 6, 2013..

I am Hoping by this time ..people of January to get their visa's Stamped ...but its not happening
Does anybody here aware of people from other threads been given visa.....
Thanks

I applied for my notes last week. It will take 3-4 weeks to receive my GCMS notes.

Hi All

Not sure if everyone is aware but Foreign service workers are on strike at the moment. This is affecting immigration services in a lot of Canadian embassies. I don't know what the exact situation is at NDVO.

i doubt it affected CIC mission... as of May 1st week the report was clear visa and immigration sections were not part of this strike. this is more to do with other departments...

Oh my god.... :o :o :o...Hope everything settles soon

It does include visa officers as well. See link below. But it seems Mexico is the only office being hit hard with this strike.
