CanadianJeepGuy said:Yes I read that. Since I had zero experience with CIC prior to this it seemed strange that they would first say to wait to be notified to pay the RPRF and then directly afterward suggest that you pay it up front. Under the fees schedule on the old "Liberal red" CIC website the RPRF fees are not listed. I found this confusing. So I opted to not pay it up front.
Luckily for us they requested payment at the same time they request my wife's remed so they received notification of the payment long before they received confirmation of the remed.

They do not mention anything about delays though
Dear Mr. xxxxxxxxx,
If you wish you can pay teh RPRF now- or when you will be requested to do so at the end of the processing :: RPRF is to be paid the Case Processing Centre Mississauga.
Visa Office / Bureau des visas

If you wrote to CIC as many times as you complain about them in here I am not surprised it took so long!CanadianJeepGuy said:I would just pay the dumb basstards and be done with it. My wife has finally been issued her visa but it took a barrage of emails from me to keep it going.
This process is so ridiculous. For the year that our applications were with CIC the amount of time to actually process it was just over 2 weeks.

CanadianJeepGuy said:That's a good myth as well. If you email your MP, Kenney etc that CIC then goes out of their way to further delay your application. There is nothing listed in my GCMS notes stating that the sponsor complains so we must further delay his application. I'm sure MP's and CIC love people believing that.
Maybe it's coincidence, but any time Jeep Guy (or me, for that matter) emailed CEM or talked to our MP's, the reaction from the VO was instant. If the application was shoved under a bunch of other applications we wouldn't be seeing these instant results.parker24 said:I actually agree with bagelbagel. As if they will put that in the GCMS notes hahahaha you have to be delusional to think they would even put that in writing. They would just get annoyed and pull your file and stick it under 20 of them. Easily. No paper trail.

scos said:Much easier to just handle the immediate complaint. Gets the MP off your back and makes you look like a "problem-solver" to your boss. Doing as you say would be career-limiting.
Or do you believe that CJG and Steph are the only ones on the planet visiting their MPs? I called an opposition MP because mine was dragging his feet. The woman I spoke to said that over the past few years immigration issues are accounting for a larger and larger portion of their time (up to 80% in that riding). So are you trying to say VOs maintain secret "bury" lists for all these people? I think we can see who the delusional one is.
parker24 said:I also visited my MP, so that's moot. What I'm annoyed with is CJG constantly b!tching about how long his application is taking, EVEN THOUGH, he's within the processing times. Suck it up buttercup. CJG is the delusional one. Thinks he should get special treatment from the VO. Uhh no. You are within the processing times. Get a grip. Some people have been waiting for YEARS. Whereas he has only been waiting for MONTHS. If he didn't want to wait this long, he could have went to her country.
My MP actually said if you e-mail too much THEY CAN AND WILL IGNORE YOU AND SHOVE YOUR FILE TO THE BOTTOM. And my MP is a complete moron, I went to my MPP, and he said the EXACT same thing.
