Well I am at least glad its easy to get.. On the site it says someone can go on your behalf with a carta poder, I really hope that's true.. lol.

Me too ! Sure would save some money, especially for you guys !

Hey guys I had the same experience as Egarsitow! They told my husband you can only get it there.

We got there at like 3:30 and there were TONS of people outside lined up and we were like great we´re going to be here all afternoon. But my husband was in the building within a minute and out in like 5 minutes with the document in his hands!

It is very very easy to get! And yep only needed copy of IFE and copy of birth certificate. It says on the site that you can get someone to go with a carta poder so I don´t see a problem with that!

Did you see a girl with a blue Tshirt and glasses waiting outside? :P

There was a girl sitting next to me (on the curb next to a tree!) But I don´t remember if she had a blue shirt or glasses haha.

Did you see a gringa looking girl with blue eyes and a white flower pattern shirt?? :P

Has somebody had some news??? ::)

Hey Nessa, when you guys got there, did they know exactly what you were asking for? Also, did they attend you at Xola No. 324, Colonia del Valle, Delegación Benito Juárez, México, D.F.? Or did they send you to another location?

Yes it´s the one on Xola. We actually asked some police where the SSP was without showing them the address and they told us it was near the glorieta de insurgentes. So we went there and asked another police officer who told us they no longer do it there and we have to go to Xola.

It´s easy to get there! You can take the Metrobus and get off at Piedad and then just ask someone around there what way to go. You have to walk a few blocks and it´s a huge grey building with a bunch of police outside. :)

They knew exactly what it was...I think that´s all they do bewtween 2 and 7. Pretty much everyone that was there, was there to get that paper.

edgarsitow and Nessa - good to hear the SSP will go quick :)

edgarsitow - hopefully you do get the PGR today and can be done with it!

May lots of good news be forthcoming :)

Good morning everyone! CIC seems to be moving along in Step 1. Several approvals.

My question is about Step 2. I haven't paid much attention to Step 2 processing in Mexico because I have been waiting for sponsorship approval for 3 months.

What should I expect next? A lot of people in January talked about seeing "medicals received" on e-cas. Should I be waiting for that? Or is the next step to see "in process" on e-cas?

My approval happened two weeks ago tomorrow. I wonder if Mexico has even received our application yet. I wish we got more communication.

We have been in process so long I really don't remember what happened in eCas at the outset.

Seems to me that after sponsorship approval and receipt of the AOR letter; eCas updated to "in process" . Very much looking forward to eventually seeing "medical results received" so we know this waiting craziness is finally over! :)

Hoping our turn comes quickly.. I see someone got a response and their application was filed Feb 24th, this gives me hope :D

We got there at like 3:45 and I wasn't really paying attention, I just noticed a little girl playing and some old ladies, maybe I missed you. Also my wife would've probably said something if she had seen a gringa-looking girl :P

Also I just called the PGR and my document is ready! :D I'll go pick it up in an hour and hand everything in tomorrow morning.
