Now I don't have to worry about it being lost or something!!

Such a releif!
So now I guess they want the medical first and afterwards they will ask for PGR? ?? Would that make sense?

:D
Congrats! And you were teasing me on how I get all paranoid when I see a (1) in my inbox and you totally missed that email :p
Yes most likely you'll get the PGR after you hand in the medicals, maybe even before.
When I was contacted by CIC I was asked asked to redo my medicals AND submit the PGR in the same email, so yours shouldn't be far behind!

Btw Mexico City has a lot of DMPs so shop around and you might get a good deal. I went to Dr. Jorge Marcuschamer on Eugenio Sue, infront of Hospital Español. The guy was a pretentious jerk, but I only paid $1400, which was awesome compared to the $275 USD I was originally charged in Tijuana back in '09

Couldn't agree more. When we first applied we never dreamed we'd be stuck like this. Looking back, maybe we were better off not knowing anyway . How I will feel about it at the end of the process remains to be seen!

Seeing PPR's come in definitely revives the optimism. Your turn is next Edgar. And with luck and good grace, perhaps we'll not be far behind you.
Thanks Mrandmrsromero :) We should be next in line. I also don't know how I'll react when I get my PPR. My money's on either a mild heart attack, or the police getting called to my placed because I was screaming loudly. Although I won't really feel satisfied until I've actually landed. Considering my horrible luck with this process, I wouldn't be surprised if something happens at Pearson Airport.

Hahaha!! I know right!! But that's not fair! It was sent to my husbands old hotmail address (which I swear we did not give them!! I thought we gave them a gmail account) and it was in the junk! Mixed between all the viagra spam! Hahaha!!
Anyways thank goodness we checked!

Okay! We are going to call around to get the prices first. But 1400 sounds like the cheapest I have heard so far!
Thanks Edgar!! :)

We also went with this doctor, and he was also a huge jerk to us....but I think it´s the cheapest one in Mexico City! :p Plus you only have to tolerate him for like 10 minutes.

Its been 4 months since app transfered to mexico. Now we received request for medical. Do u guys think they already verified relationship?
We will be near a printer this weekend and we are wondering if we should still send in additional evidence. Or if its not really necessary anymore at this point??

Thanks :)

It doesnt hurt to have extra evidence, IMO. Just incase they call you for an interview atleast you can be prepared.

Hi everyone! Landing was very easy. We got off the plane in YYZ, walked forever and gave the card we filled out on the plane to a very friendly guy who then sent us to immigration to a very nice lady who said "yay!!" with me when I told her my husband was landing. That was quite fast. She verified the Canadian address, had my husband sign the COPR, stapled it in the passport and said welcome to Canada after taking about a couple things like residential requirements. Then we got our luggage and customs would have waved us through without looking at our B4 but then realized we had a cat and sent us to a room with two pretty unfriendly agents but after a few minutes we were out the door. We are all exhausted! But I'm glad it's over. Whew!

haha no kidding!
maybe we were thinking about that last night. maybe when they pulled up his file for the email they realized he needed some stuff so they contacted us. i dunno for sure. but anyways we are happy :D i could barely sleep last night i was so happy haha

yeah! and his hotmail is infested with spam... like most hotmail now a day. so it was hidden in between about 50 spam ad emails
good thing we looked through them.

yes we are!. but now we realized there is no doctors in puebla. and 3 in mexico city. so we have a bit of a problem.
my husband asked for next friday off because he needs to be in puebla to get his new passport. so we thought we would get the medical dont that day too.. but theres no doctors in puebla.
so either we have to find our if one of the 3 doctors in mexico city work on saturday or sunday. and if not hes going to have to ask for another day off work.. which his boss might get irritated about seeing as hes only been working 3 weeks. lol. (and his boss doesnt know hes going through permanent residence for canada. because he wouldnt hire him if he knew he was planning to leave soon)

soo anyways if you know of a doctor in mexico city that works weekends let me know! haha

we will figure it out though. they gave us 60 days to send in the medical but i would perfer as soon as possible :p

LeisaP - Have you considered doing both in Mexico City?

For example, you could make a passport appointment first thing in the morning, pick it up a couple hours later and go the the doctor later in day.
