I was never asked for medical. I was informed at a Physical Panel that I did the test to keep the IME form as it can be used for PR application. I just sent the web form with my information and IME# and it was marked as completed without IRCC sending any medical request
This worked. They updated it within a day. Thanks

Still waiting for elibiligty and background check.

Quick questions

1) How do you receive sponsorship approval(SA)?

2) What is AIP? And How do you receive the same?

1) it’s really impossible to find out when you have “sponsorship approval”. I called and confirmed with the agent that there is no single source of truth for this. Some people are able to access the tracker where it says sponsor eligibility some aren’t. I was told that the tracker isn’t accurately used anymore.

2) AIP = approval in principle. It’s a letter you receive

1. SA letter is usually sent to the sponsor's email
2. AIP - Approved in Principle - a letter that is sent to the principal applicant's email

They might come around the same time once the eligibility is done but not necessary the same day

The lady flat out told me on the phone in no simple words that the "Sponsor Approval" process is a total mess right now.

I believe so, as there won't be another AOR - what the sponsor receives is the only one to apply for OWP.

I've actually used that to apply for OWP (extension) on May 27 and already received the maintained status letter on May 28.
Hello I applied for inland spousal pr for my wife. She is currently on student work permit which will expire next year Feb. can I extend the work permit of the pr doesn’t come out before then . Thanks

She can apply for the extension once you receive AOR.

I’d say it’s a bit too soon to apply for the extension now. Maybe early next year.

Oh you mean on IRCC end? I wonder what happened?
She basically told me that there is no definitive way to track sponsor eligibility individually, anything online doesn't really mean much and all they do is look at "activity on the file" for sponsor eligibility status. Following that she re-iterated that the application tracker has never worked properly and that it is very difficult to track this metric and to only go by the GCkey linked application status.

On another note, I see our wonderful government has increased the inland spousal processing time to 13 months! That means that if your wife who is inland has a child and does not have OHIP your child is born into debt.
