Could it also just be that people aren't updating their spreadsheet, so even though it shows Mississauga (since that's where it gets initially sent), their stage 2 is in fact Ottawa?

your are right .The Google Doc is Referring to the First stage of Application and it will be Processed in Mississauga. Best of Luck

Totally possible. I however know of people who's applications were kept in Mississauga; I'm just not certain they were from the US.

Essentially, it showed up in their SA letter that it was being kept there. I'm just not sure if it's random or due to country that they decide to keep it.

Let's be sure we update the doc though for future applicants. The less mystery, the less stress! 8)

I sent my application out on May 4th, and it arrived May 5th.

Is anyone else from the US who submitted theirs?

I'm a US applicant! Application was received on May 12th.

I am sponsoring my husband. He is from the US.

No, the visa office is supposed to be your Stage 2, because everyone's Stage 1 is at CPC-M. Different VO will have different Stage 2 processing times.

Mapleson, are you the one behind the 2015 Outland Google Doc in your signature?

If so, it's impressive, and a giant thank you for doing it.

I sent mine today for my wife (Islamabad visa office) should get there by 15th May before 10:30am.

Did you use Courier or Regular mail ? If it is courier then the good thing is you can track it and Signature will be provided on time of delivery.
Best of luck.

I'm not the originator, but I've automated a lot of it to make it less work to update (such as the auto colouring when you fill in fields, or the summary tables and chart). At first, I was just leaving a lot of comments and finally the owner just gave me permission to edit everything.

We are all in this together, so I'm here to help. Plus, it keeps me occupied and not thinking about the gaping hole in my heart.

I'm joining you guys here!!!

I mailed my file to Mississauga today via fedex. The package should get there by 12pm tomorrow (May 15).

Since Monday is stat holiday, I figured I'd spend extra $ to get the package there before everyone leaves the office before Friday afternoon.

Hey Everybody,

I am getting ready to send in my application in the next day or so but just have one question before I do.
My boyfriend is Canadian and sponsoring me (Australian) and I just can't figure out which fees we are supposed to pay?
So we obviously pay the $75 sponsorship application fee
then the $475 principal applicant fee
do we need to pay the $550 common-law partner of the principal applicant fee?

My head is just spinning from all the paperwork and I just can't figure this out, might be over-thinking things...again! haha.

Thanks in advance :)

I must also applaud your work on the spreadsheet! Well Done! I am currently managing the Mexico Visa Office spreadsheet, which was in ruins when I went to enter my information into the spreadsheet after beginning our application process. I am in the process of rebuilding it and have added many applicants back who were accidentally deleted, as well I have been trying to enhance its value by adding relevant dates, etc. If you don't mind I'd love to take some learnings from your and Ccastillo's work on the 2015 applicants spreadsheet.

Wishing you a speedy application processing!

Total fees to be sent to CIC is $1040 (REMINDER: This is just the fees for sponsoring your spouse, no children). It's suggested you pay for the full amount to avoid any delays.
