Hey guys,
I moved to Vancouver from Calgary six months ago, I made sure to change my address back then. I was surprised to get to know that my file was transferred to Calgary a month ago. I made a request to transfer my file to Vancouver, hope this won't delay the process. Anyone has been in a similar situation?

Thanks for the update kalbad. have you tried calling them to enquire about your request for transfer?

For some reason I can't login to my ecas account. It says the information I entered in incorrect. Anyone facing this problem as well?

This happened to me last month. It started working again the next day.

Yeah, no updates next day.

Ok I contacted the CIC to get an update about the error. I was transferred to the IT department (I Believe) and the agent mentioned that they had no record of any problems. They mentioned that this is not supposed to happen unless there was a record of a problem. The agent sent me an email asking me to follow some instructions to get this issue resolved. JUST FYI.

I contacted CIC couple of times recently and was told that local office should schedule the exam within 9 months after receiving the file. In my case this period elapses in August, 2014.

Has anybody got similar response?

I was also told the same thing...i.e., local CIC offices should schedule the exam within 9 months of file transfer.

I still have no update. Also, call center people could not give any update. Last month, they initiated an inquiry to Ottawa CIC office regarding my case update but no response so far. At this point no choice other than to wait.
