I inquired about that but the agent did give me an answer...it ll take 18 months to process application. he even did not want to hear about the disappearance of "received" line. seems he was getting tons of call to inquire about the same question.

So i have decided to give them a break. i ll give them a call sometime in December. Let's not to be impatient though keep finger crossed...

Exactly the same happened to me and the agent sounded really annoyed.

Got RQ today. It's issued from Sydney, asked to submit to Ottawa. Don't understand why since my local office should be Scarborough.

Hey chandu007,

Can you tell us more about you and what might have prompted the RQ?

Self-employment and vacation for over 2 months, I guess.

That's weird! Never heard of such a thing. maybe Scarborough is packed with applications. Does that mean your oath will be in Ottawa? that's far away
Do you see any update online?

Man oh man....Looks like Self Employment and vacations are the main triggers.

Awww dealing with RQ is time consuming and a painful process indeed.

I will submit it in a week or so.

Yeah try to submit all the documents as soon as possible. Do you mind telling us what all the documents did they ask you?

Also with your initial application, what did you send?

Nothing mentioned in the letter. I will send as per the questions and instructions. Initially, I only provided docs that CIC asked for, not a single doc more.

Guys,

few weeks ago I remember one of the member asking us if the received line disappearing meant something.

I told him nothing, but it turned out that he got RQ.

Since chandu007's received line too disappeared, i wonder if thats a sign of RQ. chandu007 got rq as well

any thoughts?

I will let you know when/if I get the RQ. I travelled 23 times in the 4-year period :-) but I am employed for almost the entire period except for the first 7 months.

Yeah sure, keep us updated.
