YAY I am really happy for that!!...

I did not receive a new case ID or anything....I see some people on here saying your number changes after the VO receives it....

I am not sure if it depends on the VO or not though.

Hmmm, as for my AOR (Manila), they gave me UCI and immigration file number ...I can use both to access my ecas.

I took over the outland Buffalo spreadsheet from someone who got her PPR already and the average time from filing to PPR is about 150 days. Not saying it's standard or anything but just that I've noticed more Buffalo people mentioning PPR came via email.

I actually disagree on that. You'll see on people's profile timelines the date for the file transfer but the AOR, if they have it, is not for months later. Not trying to bum you out or anything but I doubt this is AOR.

Well she received a letter saying that the Visa office already received their application .... So I thought that is AOR ... My AOR tells me when they received our application, what are the documents that they still need from me and so forth ...

But they did not give her a file number, so you could be right ....

You got a letter, but she only got an e-CAS update so far. The e-CAS update showing the VO received it doesn't constitute Acknowledgement of Receipt, from my understanding, as nonsensical as that sounds. It has to be a postal letter or email letter that would also include the "F" file number assigned by the VO.

ok you are right that dair did say "email." i don't want to speak for her but i believe she was referring to an email from e-CAS tracker....

Of course, I would rather have correct information than think something is... that is not.

I did get a response finally in the Moroccan thread and I found it interesting that, that person did not get an e-CAS update ... just a letter 3 months later with the new client ID...LOL

Immigration is such a funny thing. Nothing is ever consistant.

Are you sure she or her hubby got no e-CAS update at all? From my experience, it's pretty standard that everyone receives the basic updates in e-CAS about application received at Mississauga, sponsorship approved, received at the VO. It's just that often the "received at VO" update is the last one they get for months at a time and they are left wondering what is going on. Anyway, I don't know if you guys have a spreadsheet over at the Rabat thread but it would be very helpful to just see what patterns there are. Like, if this person got her AOR 3 months into filing the application (or was it 3 months from when it was received at Rabat), that's something for you to keep in mind. But it's hard to compare when you don't have several other people too. Oh, and I just wanted to clarify about the client ID thing. If she said Rabat assigned her husband a "new Client ID" she really must mean that it's his first Client ID as Client ID will never change. You are assigned one the first time you have any dealings with CIC, like getting a study or work permit. I got a study permit before I filed my application so that permit had my Client ID. Citizens do not have one.

Of course, I would rather have correct information than think something is... that is not.
