there is appendix a too that has to be included and the copy of the ppr letter has to be mailed altogether with the passport. also, there might be some other documents that they might need. i think sometimes they lose a document and would request a new copy. so i have to wait for it to know what other documents they might require of me. but i hope that it is only gonna be passport and appendix a (which is by the way being requested with passport all the the time)

Ooo I see. It definitely makes sense to wait for that PPR and I hope U get it in a bit.

Ooh, sorry to hear that. I know I feel pissed when that happens too....it's like "great, all that planning but no execution!!" Anyway, I think they'll see that letter for the interview and give you the notes pretty quickly.

I find myself using more and more sticky notes to remind myself of issues I need to attend to during the week. Could this be signs of aging or the need to a vacation of some sort??? :
Not a chance of the latter happening and the former is just plain disturbing. ???

This should be a warning to all bureaucracies. Let your (already not exactly most efficient) employees start leaving for vacations, and watch the mountain of work grow exponentially. Hehe.

I called my phone company today and they had me on hold for an hour!! Then when they did get to talk 2 me, I needed to be transferred to the technical dept and then I was on hold for another hour!!! On a regular day, I would let them have it but I was too tired and asked them nicely: "Wats up the extremely long wait times?". Simple answer - They were short-staffed cos some employees were on vacation.
Im like, "hmmmm....tell me about that" (of course, right then Im thinking about the possibly similar case of CIC and not my phone company). So Ur might definitely be on to something there.

Thanks, stthomas. Yeah, e-cas is useless that way. They'll change it to in process eventually. I bet most people will get it via urgent snail mail but I'm curious to see if this is not just Buffalo emailing them out.

Received my ppr last august 5. PPR letter dated July 26. It is through URGENT post mail. Ecas (using my file number) shows application received. And last August 12, it says medical received and then my address already shows up. Visa office is Manila.

It's pretty surprising when they do the right thing, that CIC, but I know they're capable of it.

Don't worry. You just have a lot on your mind. Nothing wrong with organizing your thoughts on paper. A vacation isn't a bad idea though. For many of us. I've been married a year and have yet to go on a honeymoon.

Still the same, Application received and Medical received. My husband sent them an email before he mailed his PP about that Libya Police Clearance and they did not replied back. Are they suppose to update Ecas once they received my husband's passport? How would we know they have it? Courier said someone from the security front desk received my husband's mail (PP, Appendix A and letter of correspondence regarding Libya Police Clearance).

I have problem with Manila VO's cost to call their call centre to inquire. I emailed the Canadian Consulate back in Feb when I was in the Philippines for my wedding In Jan. My mom was with me and her PR card expired so she had to reapply for visa at the embassy. She spent so much calling them. I thought it's a big money maker. I did not receive any sort of acknowledgment that they received my email. Now that I have my husband's application I'm scared I am on their watch list...lol.

I actually live in Calgary AB. My husband is the one being sponsored by myself and will be joining me here. I hardly get to leave town (story of my life :-[) but will definitely keep in mind that I have a friend in Toronto.

Ours is too soon, an applicant who passed last April 26 already got approved. I hope they will consider about your Libya PC issue.

I mailed them my passport and then the SG received it. And after 3 days, my Ecas says Medical received. They will not tell you in Ecas that they already received your passport.

YAY I am really happy for that!!...

I did not receive a new case ID or anything....I see some people on here saying your number changes after the VO receives it....

I am not sure if it depends on the VO or not though.
