Below is what worked for me and some lucky ones. Steps were shared last year by one of the members here:

1. Logged in with GC Key account.
2. Permanent Residence > Family Class (Spouses)
2-a. Application Number and Family Name - Copy/pasted application number from email (including the F) and entered PA's last name.
3. City of Birth - I entered 1 space (hit spacebar once)
4. Country of Birth - Selected PA's country of birth
5. Passport Info - Did not enter any passport info
6. Other Application Info - Filled out the other application info as per our application
and put '2' as the number of members in the application. I am sponsoring my husband, no dependents.

Again, for 2-a, I selected Family Name, Given Name, Birthday (This is Principal Applicant's (PA) info).

On no. 6, I entered '4' because I have 2 dependents.

To some, it worked for them by entering all of the passport details.

Good luck!

It took me a few times before I finally linked my account. I remember I got locked out few minutes before midnight and a message I should try again after 24 hours. However, few minutes after midnight I tried again and luckily got my account linked as well.

I saw your post on the December thread about your husband's name. Check again your message from CIC and how they are addressing your husband's name. I realized in my case that the reason I kept getting an error initially was because I kept inputting my name exactly how I entered on the forms. Later I noticed on CICs message that they omitted my middle name. I tried again how they were using my name and my account got finally linked.

Originally a February applicant - application returned. Re-submitted application March 17th! (added to spreadsheet)

So I never got my SMS notification, I ended up calling my local MP's office and got them to look into it.

They said that my application was returned to me on Feb 20 (Which I already told them I received and sent back where they already received it Mar 7 according to Canada Post).

They told me to just wait that's all I can do.

Lo and behold, today I got my AOR1 - was able to link it to my ECAS with the UCI and application number.

I used 2 for the number, 1 didn't work the first time.

Just create a new GCKey account and try linking again.

not that simple, i called CIC and they said that i have to wait for the sponsor approval... which sucks!! there is a glitch in the system

I was able to link my application on my first attempt. Used the same instructions to link with UCI# and Application# and putting # as 2 (including me and the PA).

Yes, the AOR mentioned the following for me.
